Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.
Profession : artist – engraver, etcher
Roger Dewint is a renowned engraver internationally and in Belgium. For over 40 years he
has perfected the technique of aquatint in which he creates his own colours. He creates
contrasts between his images of birds and of his own imaginary animals . His work appears
to be quite stable and comprehensible however everything (colours, and creatures) has
been created by his own mind. He creates his own world of imaginary birds in thousands of
beautiful colours. All of this is then situated in Belgian’s history of art, amongst the names of
James Ensor and Brueghel..

VINCENT SOLHEID
Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.
Profession : artist – painter.
Vincent Solheid plays with the idea of a carnaval in his work, by disguising oneself and becoming someone else. He works directly on postcards, masking the identity of the character.
This world of masks makes the viewer question « is it the real person ? Or is it someone
disguised as that person ? » His scribbled texts are written directly onto the postcards
aswell. They are not to be viewed as final pieces but as practical work, as if they have been
used by people. The text is often used to make fun of the image.
