PRODUCT SAFETY
This camera range is designed for use in general purpose CCTV applications and has no other purpose. Only operate your camera between the
temperatures of -10OC and +50OC. Do not operate your camera outside its specified power supply range. Cameras must only be used in clean, dry,
dust-free environments unless housed in suitable protective housings to IP65 or better.
In order to avoid damaging the camera note the following points:
1. Installation and servicing is only to be carried out by suitably qualified and experienced personnel.
2. Do not touch the image-surface of the sensor. If the sensor is accidentally touched, only clean it using isopropanol.
3. Do not expose the camera sensor to very bright light over a long period of time as this may cause damage to the CCD. The
camera and lens set-up must be correct to avoid continual over-exposure to bright light.
4. For outdoor use, an appropriate protective housing conforming to IP65, UL50 or better must be used.
ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC)
This is a Class A product. In a domestic environment this product may cause radio interference in which case the user may be
required to take adequate measures.
This product is intended solely for use in general CCTV applications.
The product must be installed and maintained in accordance with good installation practice to enable the product to function as intended and to
prevent problems. Refer to Norbain SD Limited for installation guidance.

UNPACKING
Keep your packaging for use if the product is to be stored for an extended period or needs to be returned for any reason. The packaging should
contain:
• A Vista Camera with an integrated DC lens
• 1 x mounting bolt
• Installation instructions
Check the product code on the serial number label. If you have an incorrect item or it is damaged then inform the suppliers and carriers immediately.
If this is the case then do not attempt to use the equipment.
CONTROLS AND SWITCHES
The diagram below shows the location and function of the controls and switches.

INSTALLATION
Mounting
Two 1/4” 20 UNC mounting points are provided for mounting the camera, one on the top of the case and one on the bottom of the case.
Power Connection
The camera should be powered using a 12V DC power supply unit. Observe the correct polarity when connecting the power, as indicated on the
rear of the camera.
To avoid possible short circuits, the power should remain off until all required connections have been made.
Lens Level Adjustment
When setting the lens level, the AGC function (SW1) should be switched OFF. The lens level potentiometer is used to vary the DC reference voltage
controlling the lens. The potentiometer has the effect of increasing or decreasing the lens aperture and should be adjusted to obtain a 1V pk-pk
setting. When making adjustments, it is best to start with the potentiometer set fully clockwise so that the video signal is overexposed, then,
gradually decrease the level until the setting is correct.
When the lens level is set correctly, the AGC function can be switched ON.
Focusing
The camera back-focus is pre-set to a position that allows optimum performance throughout the focal range of the lens.
The lens adjustment levers are located under the camera lens cover. Remove the cover by pushing down gently and sliding it in the direction
indicated by the arrow on the cover itself. To adjust the lens, loosen and then adjust the T-W lens lever to produce the desired angle of view for
the scene. Tighten the lever once adjustment is complete.
Whilst setting the angle of view, it may also be necessary to make primary focus adjustments. To do this, loosen and then adjust the ∞-N focus lever
until the sharpest possible image for the area of interest is achieved. Tighten the lever once focus adjustment is complete.
CONFIGURATION
On the rear of the camera, there are two configuration switches:
BLC on/off
The Backlight Compensation (BLC) facility compensates for back-lit scenes by enhancing the exposure of objects within the BLC sampling area
(see figure below). These objects would previously have been in silhouette. Select ON or OFF using the BLC switch (SW2). Default is OFF.
AGC on/off
The Automatic Gain Control (AGC) facility can improve picture quality when levels of illumination are low. Select ON or OFF using the AGC switch
(SW1). For most applications, the AGC facility should be ON and is therefore the default setting.

Cette gamme de caméras a été conçue pour les applications de caméras en circuit fermé à usage général et n’assure aucun autre objectif. Votre
caméra doit opérer à une température comprise entre -10 et +50 OC. Elle ne doit pas opérer hors de la plage d’alimentation spécifiée. Les caméras

Pour éviter d’endommager la caméra, veuillez tenir compte des points suivants :
1. L’installation et la maintenance doivent uniquement être effectuées par un technicien qualifié et expérimenté.
2. Ne touchez pas à la surface d’imagerie du capteur. En cas de contact accidentel avec le capteur, nettoyez-le uniquement
avec isopropanol.
3. N’exposez pas directement le capteur au soleil, sous peine d’affecter les performances de la caméra. La caméra et
l’objectif doivent être correctement configurés pour éviter tout risque d’exposition prolongée à une lumière excessivement
vive.
4. Pour un usage en extérieur, vous devez utiliser un boîtier protecteur approprié conforme ou supérieur à la norme IP65
ou UL50.
COMPATIBILITE ELECTROMAGNETIQUE
Il s’agit d’un produit de classe A. Dans un environnement domestique, ce produit est susceptible de provoquer des interférences
radio, auquel cas l’utilisateur devra éventuellement prendre des mesures appropriées.
Ce produit se destine exclusivement aux applications de caméras en circuit fermé.
Son installation et sa maintenance doivent être réalisées conformément aux pratiques appropriées pour lui permettre de fonctionner de la manière

immédiatement le fournisseur et le transporteur. Dans ce cas, n’essayez pas d’utiliser l’équipement.

INSTALLATION
Montage
Deux points de montage ¼ pouces 20 UNC ont été prévus pour le montage de la caméra : le premier au-dessus du boîtier et le second au-dessous.
Connexion d’alimentation
L’appareil-photo devrait être actionné en utilisant une unité d’approvisionnement d’alimentation 12 V c.c. Observez la polarité correcte pour
connecter l’alimentation comme indiqué à l’arrière de la caméra.
Pour éviter tout risque de court-circuit, l’alimentation ne doit pas être activée avant d’avoir réalisé toutes les connexions requises.
Réglage de niveau d’objectif
Pour régler le niveau d’objectif, la fonction AGC (SW1) doit être DÉSACTIVÉE (OFF). Le potentiomètre de niveau d’objectif est utilisé pour régler la
tension de référence c.c. contrôlant l’objectif. Ce potentiomètre augmente ou réduit l’ouverture de l’objectif et doit être réglé pour obtenir 1 V crête
à crête. Pour réaliser le réglage, il est préférable de commencer en tournant le potentiomètre à fond vers la droite pour surexposer le signal vidéo,
puis de réduire progressivement le niveau pour obtenir un réglage correct.
Une fois le niveau d’objectif correctement réglé, la fonction AGC peut être DÉSACTIVÉE (OFF).
Mise au point
La rétro-mise au point de la caméra est préréglée pour produire des performances optimales dans toute la plage focale de l’objectif.
Les leviers de réglages de l’objectif sont situés sous le cache d’objectif de la caméra. Retirez le cache en l’abaissant avec précaution et faites-le
glisser dans le sens de la flèche figurant sur le cache proprement dit. Pour régler l’objectif, desserrez le levier T-W et ajustez-le pour obtenir l’angle
de vision requis. Une fois le réglage réalisé, resserrez le levier.
En réglant l’angle de vision, il est parfois nécessaire d’ajuster la mise au point. Pour ce faire, desserrez le levier de mise au point ∞-N afin d’obtenir
l’image la plus nette possible de la zone filmée. Une fois le réglage de mise au point réalisé, resserrez le levier.
CONFIGURATION
Au bas de la caméra figurent deux interrupteurs de configuration :
BLC activé/désactivé (BLC on/off)
La fonction de compensation de rétro-éclairage (BLC, Backlight Compensation) se charge de compenser les scènes à rétro-éclairage en accentuant
l’exposition des objets dans la zone d’échantillonnage BLC (voir la figure ci-dessous). Autrement, ces objets n’apparaîtraient que sous forme de
silhouette. Activez (ON) ou désactivez (OFF) le rétro-éclairage au moyen du commutateur BLC (SW2). Par défaut, il est désactivé (OFF).
AGC activé/désactivé (AGC on/off)
La contrôle automatique de gain fonction (AGC, Automatic Gain Control) permet d’améliorer la qualité de l’image en présence d’un niveau d’éclairage
insuffisant. Activez-le (ON) ou désactivez-le (OFF) au moyen du commutateur AGC (SW1). La fonctionnalité AGC doit être activée (ON) dans la
majorité des applications et constitue donc le réglage par défaut.

3. Setzen Sie den Sensor keinem direktem Sonnenlicht aus, da die Funktion der Kamera dadurch beeinträchtigt werden
könnte. Kamera und Objektiv müssen korrekt eingestellt werden, um einen anhaltenden, übermäßigen Lichteinfall
zu vermeiden.
4. Bei Verwendung im Freien muss ein Schutzgehäuse gemäß IP65 bzw. UL50 oder besser benutzt werden.
ELEKTROMAGNETISCHE KOMPATIBILITÄT
Dieses Produkt entspricht Klasse A. Es kann in Wohnbereichen Funkstörungen verursachen, in welchem Fall das Ergreifen
entsprechender Maßnahmen durch den Benutzer erforderlich sein könnte.
Dieses Produkt ist ausschließlich für den Gebrauch in allgemeinen CCTV-Anwendungen bestimmt.
Das Produkt muss entsprechend anerkannter Installationspraktiken installiert und gewartet werden, um seine vorgesehene Funktionsweise zu

INSTALLATION
Montage
An der Kamera sind zwei 1/4"-20-UNC-Montagepunkte zu ihrer Befestigung vorhanden; einer oben am Gehäuse und einer unten am Gehäuse.
Stromanschluss
Die Kamera sollte mit einer 12V Gleichstrom-Versorgung Maßeinheit angetrieben werden. Beachten Sie beim Anschluss des Netzteils die korrekte
Polarität, wie hinten an der Kamera angegeben.
Um eventuelle Kurzschlüsse zu vermeiden, sollte die Kamera ausgeschaltet bleiben, bis alle erforderlichen Verbindungen hergestellt sind.
Objektivpegeleinstellung
Beim Einstellen des Objektivpegels sollte die AGC-Funktion (SW1) ausgeschaltet bleiben. Das Objektivpegel-Potentiometer dient zum Variieren der
zur Objektivsteuerung verwendeten Referenzgleichspannung. Das Potentiometer vergrößert bzw. verringert die Objektivblende und sollte so
eingestellt werden, dass eine Spannung von 1V pk-pk anliegt. Beim Vornehmen der Einstellungen ist es am besten, das Potentiometer zunächst voll
im Uhrzeigersinn zu drehen, so dass ein überbelichtetes Videosignal empfangen wird, und den Pegel dann schrittweise zu reduzieren, bis die
korrekte Einstellung erreicht ist.
Nachdem der korrekte Objektivpegel eingestellt ist, kann die AGC-Funktion eingeschaltet werden.
Fokuseinstellung
Der Kamera-Back-Focus ist auf eine Position voreingestellt, die in einer optimalen Leistung über den gesamten Fokusbereich des Objektivs
resultiert.
Die Objektiveinstellhebel befinden sich unter der Kameraobjektivabdeckung. Entfernen Sie die Abdeckung, indem Sie sie leicht nach unten
drücken und dann in die Richtung schieben, die durch den auf der Abdeckung selbst angebrachten Pfeil angegeben ist. Zum Einstellen des
Objektivs lösen Sie den T-W-Objektivhebel und stellen ihn dann auf den für die Szene gewünschten Blickwinkel ein. Ziehen Sie den Hebel wieder
fest, nachdem Sie die Einstellung vorgenommen haben.
Beim Einstellen des Blickwinkels kann auch ein Einstellen des primären Fokus erforderlich sein. Lösen Sie dazu den ∞-N-Fokushebel und stellen
Sie ihn dann ein, bis das schärfstmögliche Bild des zu überwachenden Bereichs angezeigt wird. Ziehen Sie den Hebel wieder fest, nachdem
Sie den Fokus eingestellt haben.
KONFIGURATION
An der Rückseite der Kamera sind zwei Konfigurationsschalter vorhanden:
BLC ein/aus (BLC on/off)
Die Gegenlichtkompensationfunktion (BLC, Backlight Compensation) kompensiert hintergrundbeleuchtete Szenen durch die stärkere Belichtung
von Objekten innerhalb des BLC-Messbereichs. Diese Objekte würden ansonsten als Silhouetten angezeigt. Verwenden Sie den BLC-Schalter
(SW2) zur Wahl von EIN (ON) oder AUS (OFF). Der Standard ist AUS (OFF).
AGC ein/aus (AGC on/off)
Die Automatische Gain-Kontrolle-Funktion (AGC, Automatic Gain Control) dient zur Verbesserung der Bildqualität bei schwacher Beleuchtung.
Verwenden Sie den AGC-Schalter (SW1) zur Wahl von EIN (ON) oder AUS (OFF). Für die meisten Anwendungen sollte die AGC-Funktion
eingeschaltet sein, weshalb dies die Standardeinstellung ist.

Questa serie di telecamere è concepita esclusivamente per usi generici in applicazioni CCTV. Utilizzare la telecamera solo in ambienti con
temperatura inclusa tra -10OC e +50OC. Non utilizzare la telecamera con livelli di alimentazione diversi da quelli specificati. Le telecamere devono

4. Per uso esterno, utilizzare un alloggiamento protettivo conforme agli standard IP65 o UL50 o superiori.
COMPATIBILITÀ ELETTROMAGNETICA (EMC)
Questo è un prodotto di classe A. In ambienti domestici questo prodotto potrebbe causare interferenze radio, nel qual caso
l’utente è tenuto ad adottare le necessarie misure correttive.
Questo prodotto è concepito esclusivamente per l’uso in applicazioni CCTV generiche.
Il prodotto deve essere installato e usato in conformità con quanto previsto dalle pratiche di installazione, in modo da garantirne l’affidabilità ed

immediatamente il rivenditore e il vettore di trasporto e non utilizzare l’apparecchiatura.

INSTALLAZIONE

Montaggio
Vengono forniti due punti di montaggio per la telecamera (1/4" 20 UNC), uno sulla parte superiore e l’altro sulla parte inferiore del telaio.
Alimentazione
La telecamera dovrebbe essere alimentata usando un’unità del rifornimento di corrente continua 12V CC. Al momento della connessione all’unità di
alimentazione, si raccomanda di rispettare la polarità indicata sulla parte posteriore della telecamera. Per evitare il rischio di corto circuiti, si
raccomanda di non collegare l’alimentazione finché non sono state eseguite tutte le connessioni richieste.
Regolazione del livello dell’obiettivo
Durante l’impostazione del livello dell’obiettivo, si raccomanda di mantenere disattivata la funzione AGC (SW1). Per variare il voltaggio di riferimento
CC che controlla l’obiettivo, viene utilizzato il potenziometro del livello dell’obiettivo che consente di aumentare e diminuire l’apertura dell’obiettivo e
dovrebbe essere regolato su un’impostazione di 1 V picco-a-picco. Prima di iniziare la regolazione, si consiglia di tenere il potenziometro completamente
ruotato in senso orario, in modo che il segnale video sia sovraesposto, quindi, di diminuire gradualmente il livello fino a ottenere l’impostazione
desiderata.
Dopo aver impostato correttamente il livello dell’obiettivo, è possibile attivare la funzione AGC (posizione ON).
Messa a fuoco
La profondità di fuoco della telecamera è impostata su un valore che consente ottime prestazioni nell’ambito della gamma di messa a fuoco
dell’obiettivo. Le leve di regolazione dell’obiettivo si trovano sotto il coperchio dell’obiettivo. Per rimuovere il coperchio, premere leggermente e farlo
scorrere nella direzione indicata dalla freccia posta sul coperchio stesso. Per regolare l’obiettivo, allentare e regolare la leva T-W fino a raggiungere
l’angolo di visualizzazione richiesto per l’area da riprendere. Dopo aver completato la regolazione, stringere nuovamente la leva.
Durante l’impostazione dell’angolo di visualizzazione è possibile che si renda necessario eseguire alcune regolazioni basilari della messa a fuoco.
A questo scopo, allentare e regolare la leva di messa a fuoco ∞-N fino ad aver ottenuto la massima nitidezza d’immagine possibile per la zona in
questione. Dopo aver regolato la messa a fuoco, stringere nuovamente la leva.
CONFIGURAZIONE
Sulla parte posteriore della telecamera sono presenti due interruttori di configurazione.
BLC Attivato/Disattivato (BLC on/off)
La funzione Compensazione di retroilluminazione (BLC, Backlight Compensation) consente di compensare le scene con retroilluminazione aumentando
l’esposizione degli oggetti che si trovano all’interno dell’area di campionatura BLC e di cui, senza questa funzione, sarebbe possibile visualizzare
solo i contorni. Selezionare ATTIVATO (ON) oppure DISATTIVATO (OFF) mediante l’interruttore BLC (SW2). L’impostazione predefinita è DISATTIVATO
(OFF).
AGC attivato/disattivato (AGC on/off)
La funzione di controllo automatico del guadagno (AGC, Automatic Gain Control) consente di migliorare la qualità dell’immagine in condizioni di
scarsa illuminazione. Selezionare ATTIVATO (ON) oppure DISATTIVATO (OFF) mediante l’interruttore AGC (SW1). Dato che l’utilizzo della funzione
AGC è consigliabile nella maggior parte delle situazioni, la funzione è attiva (posizione ON) per impostazione predefinita.
