JCO2014’s Highlights
Objectives
Posters Presentation
The “Journées de Chimie Organique” JCO 2014 are
back again in their sixth edition. Organized by the
Tunisian Chemical Society (SCT) and sponsored by the
Division of Organic Chemistry of the French Chemical
Society (SCF), these days aim to highlight recent
advances in organic chemistry, such as catalysis, newer
methods in organic synthesis, total synthesis of natural
products, medicinal chemistry. At this occasion, 12
plenary and invited lectures will be presented by
distinguished speakers. Oral and poster presentations
will be given to contributed papers submitted by students
and researchers. Please visit our web site soon for
further information and to register. The JCO 2014's
program will be updated when details are finalized.
Posters should be 1.20 m high and 0.90 m wide. Abstracts of
posters will be numbered and listed in the final program.
Different sessions will be held for poster presentations.
Authors are requested to be next to their posters during the
official poster sessions.
Program
The program of JCO 2014 includes:
• plenary lectures (40 minutes)
• invited lectures (30 minutes)
• oral communications (15 minutes) and posters
• an exhibition of scientific equipment
The full program will be available later on the website of
the SCT.
A booklet containing all the conference abstracts and
papers will be distributed to participants. Authors are
required to provide a summary of an A5 page in MSWord format according to the following instructions:
 superior margin of 2.5 cm, 2,2 cm margins on each
side and a bottom margin of 1.5 cm. A template
model is available for download in JCO2014‟s
website.
 Title in uppercase (centered, Arial 10, bold, spacing 1)
 Authors' names (centered, Arial 9, spacing 1) with
presenting author „s name underlined
 Authors‟ affiliation (centered, Arial 8, italic, spacing 1)
 Text (justified, Arial 9, spacing 1).

JCO2014’s Location and Venue
All activities of the JCO2014 will take place at Sol Azur
Beach Hotel**** situated at the seaside of the area of
Hammamet in the north east of Tunisia.
Welcoming participants, distribution of documents and
check in will start on Thursday, September, 11th from
3.00 pm to 8.00 pm (for latecomers on Friday 12th
before official opening.) Check out will be on Sunday,
September 14th after lunch.
