Betriebsanleitung zur Beachtung weitergegeben werden.
Allgemeines
Die Pilatus Porter PC 6 ist ein besonders leichtes RC-Flugmodell mit sehr
gutmütigen Flugeigenschaften. Das Modell wird in „Ready for HoTT“
Ausführung geliefert. Es ist serienmäßig mit einem hochwertigen GR-12SH+
HoTT Empfänger und Zubehör ausgestattet. Für die Montage benötigen Sie
keinen Klebstoff.
Die Abbildung zeigt den GR-12SH+ HoTT Empfänger, der betriebsfertig im
Modellrumpf installiert und angeschlossen ist. Weiterhin ist die
Unterwarnspannung des Empfängers auf 3,0 Volt programmiert.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass für diesen Empfänger die Bedienungsanleitung der
Packung getrennt beiliegt.

Das Laden der LiPo-Zelle mittels USB-Ladestick
Die LiPo-Zelle wie abgebildet in den USB-Ladestick einschieben. Den
Ladestick dann in eine passende USB-Buchse einstecken. Hervorragend
dafür geeignet, Graupner Powerbank No. 6481. Eine kontroll-LED im Inneren

des Ladesticks leuchtet während des Ladevorganges, wenn sie erlischt ist die
Zelle geladen. Nach dem Ladevorgang die LiPo-Zelle wieder vom Ladestick
abziehen. Die geladene LiPo-Zelle im Batterieschacht per Klettverschluss
fixieren. Das Modell ist nun bereit für das Binden an Ihren HoTT-Sender.
Das Binden des GR-12SH Empfängers an den von uns empfohlenen
MXS-8 HoTT-Sender
Ziehen Sie den rechten Steuerknüppel Ihres Senders nach hinten in „MotorAus“ Position. Schalten Sie zuerst den Sender durch Drücken der PowerTaste ein.
Schalten Sie dann den Empfänger ein in dem sie die LiPo-Zelle wie auf der
Abbildung gezeigt einstecken, die rote LED des Empfängers leuchtet dann.
Wenn Sie nun die Power-Taste des Senders nochmal drücken ist der
Empfänger an Ihren Sender gebunden.
Achten Sie darauf, dass der Sender beim „BIND“-Vorgang nicht zu nahe am
Modell liegt, da sonst der „BIND“-Vorgang u.U. gestört wird. Wir empfehlen
einen Abstand von min. 0,5 m zwischen Sender und Modell.
Der „BIND“-Vorgang weicht bei anderen HoTT-COMPUTERSYSTEMEN von
der beschriebenen Weise ab beachten Sie in diesen Fällen das Kapitel
„Binding“ von Sender und Empfänger im Handbuch Ihrer Fernsteuerung.
Führen Sie nach dem abgeschlossenen „BIND“-Vorgang einen Test der
Ruderfunktionen durch. Die Servos im Rumpfinnenraum sind folgendermaßen
im Empfänger eingesteckt: Buchse 1 Drehzahlregler, Buchse 2
Seitenruderservo, Buchse 3 Höhenruderservo. Das heißt für Mode 1, die
Motorregelung und Richtungssteuerung (Seitenruder) erfolgt über den rechten
Steuerknüppel, die Höhenrudersteuerung über den linken Steuerknüppel.
Ziehen nach hinten bewirkt einen Höhenruderausschlag nach oben, drücken
nach vorne einen Tiefenruderausschlag nach unten.
Korrigieren Sie über Sendermenü “Servoeinstellung“ nötigenfalls die
Laufrichtung der Servos und bringen Sie die Ruder in Mittelstellung
(Neutrallage). Dies ist sehr wichtig, da sonst das Modell später nicht
geradeaus fliegt bzw. zu steil nach oben oder unten. Führen Sie nun einen
Testlauf des Motors durch, indem Sie den rechten Steuerknüppel nach vorne
schieben.

Die Montage
Für die Modellmontage wird kein Klebstoff benötigt
Zuerst die Tragflächenstreben wie gezeigt in den Rumpf einschieben.
Die Tragfläche wie gezeigt vorne in den Rumpf einschieben und per
Magnetverschluss aufsetzen.
Die Tragflächenstreben wie gezeigt in die Befestigungspunkte einschieben
bzw. eindrücken.

Die Ruderausschläge
Wir empfehlen folgende Maximalausschläge, jeweils gemessen an der
Ruderendkante: Seitenruder je 5 mm, Höhenruder je 5 mm. Das Einstellen der
Ruderausschläge erfolgt über den Sender. Beachten Sie dazu die jeweiligen
Hinweise in Ihrem HoTT-COMPUTERSYSTEM-Handbuch.
Auswiegen
Der Schwerpunkt liegt bei ca. 20 mm von der Tragflächenvorderkante aus
gemessen. Die Schwerpunktlage wird geprüft, indem das Modell im
Schwerpunktbereich unterhalb der Tragfläche mit zwei Fingern unterstützt
wird. Das Modell soll dann waagrecht auspendeln. Sofern am Modell keine
Modifikationen vorgenommen werden liegt der Schwerpunkt automatisch
richtig.
Fliegen
Das fertig vorbereitete Modell bei Windstille oder schwachem Wind fliegen.
Aufgrund des extrem geringen Fluggewichtes von lediglich 44g das
Modell keinesfalls bei starkem Wind fliegen lassen. Eine ebene Freifläche
ist als Gelände optimal geeignet. Keinesfalls zwischen Gebäuden oder
Bäumen starten, da das Modell durch die verwirbelte Luft schlecht steuerbar
ist. Beim erstmaligen Steuern eines Flugmodells ist es von Vorteil, wenn ein
erfahrener Helfer bei der Überprüfung und den ersten Flügen zur Seite steht.
Das Modell per Handstart mit laufendem Motor gegen die Windrichtung in die
Luft schieben, nicht werfen. Beim Start soll die Rumpfnase des Modells leicht
(ca. 15°) nach oben zeigen. Sofern eine glatte Star tbahn zur Verfügung steht
kann das Modell ebenso per Bodenstart gestartet werden.
Eine Trimmung des Modells insbesondere nach dem ersten Start ist
unerlässlich. Das Trimmen erfolgt über die Trimmtasten unterhalb bzw. neben
den Steuerknüppeln. Die Landung exakt gegen die Windrichtung mit
abgeschaltetem
Motor
durchführen.
Vor
dem
Aufsetzen
die
Fluggeschwindigkeit des Modells durch dosierte Höhenruderausschläge
reduzieren. Die Landung immer gegen die Windrichtung ausführen.
Sofern Sie eine große Halle zur Verfügung haben, eignet sich das Modell
ebenso hervorragen für den Indoor-Betrieb.
Die LiPo-Zelle unmittelbar nach dem Flug aus dem Modell nehmen und
wieder aufladen. Somit vermeiden Sie eine Tiefentladung bzw. den
daraus resultierenden Defekt der LiPo-Zelle.

Reparaturhinweise
Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Hartschaum aus dem das Modell gefertigt
ist nicht lösungsmittelresistent ist und keinesfalls mit handelsüblichem
Sekundenklebstoff geklebt werden darf. Verwenden Sie für eventuelle
Reparaturen den o.g. Klebstoff.
Wichtiger Entsorgungshinweis zu Batterien und Akkus:
Jeder Verbraucher ist nach der deutschen Batterieverordnung gesetzlich zur
Rückgabe aller gebrauchten und verbrauchten Batterien bzw. Akkus
verpflichtet.
Eine Entsorgung über den Hausmüll ist verboten. Alte Batterien und Akkus
können unentgeltlich bei den öffentlichen Sammelstellen der Gemeinde, in

unseren Verkaufsstellen und überall dort abgegeben werden, wo Batterien
und Akkus der betreffenden Art verkauft werden.

Die Kapazität der LiPo-Batterie verringert sich mit jeder Ladung/Entladung.
Auch bei der Lagerung bei zu hohen oder zu niedrigen Temperaturen kann
diese eine allmähliche Verringerung der Kapazität zur Folge haben
Die Li-Po Batterie darf nur mit dem, der Packung beiliegendem Ladegerät
geladen werden. Jede Manipulation am Ladegerät kann zu schwerwiegenden
Schäden führen. Die Ladestation muss sich während des Ladevorgangs auf
einer nicht brennbaren, hitzebeständigen und nicht leitenden Unterlage
befinden! Auch sind brennbare oder leicht entzündliche Gegenstände von der
Ladeanordnung fernzuhalten. Akkus dürfen nur unter Aufsicht geladen
werden.
Vermeiden Sie einen Kurzschluss
Schließen Sie die Akkus niemals kurz. Ein Kurzschluss lässt einen sehr hohen
Strom fließen, der die Zellen aufheizt. Dies führt zu einem Elektrolytverlust,
Gasen oder gar zu Explosionen. Vermeiden Sie die Nähe oder den Umgang
der Graupner-LiPo-Akkus mit leitenden Oberflächen wegen der Gefahr eines
Kurzschlusses.
Stabilität der Gehäusefolie
Die Aluminium Laminate Film Folie kann leicht durch scharfe Gegenstände
wie Nadeln, Messer, Nägel, oder ähnliches beschädigt werden.
Beschädigungen der Folie machen den Akku unbrauchbar. Bei einem
Kurzschluss könnte der Akku brennen.

Ebenso können Temperaturen über 70°C das Gehäuse be schädigen, so dass
dieses undicht wird. Dies hat einen Elektrolytverlust zur Folge, der Akku wird
unbrauchbar und ist zu entsorgen.
Mechanischer Schock
Die LiPo–Batterie ist mechanisch nicht so stabil wie Batteriezellen in
Metallgehäusen. Vermeiden Sie daher mechanische Schocks durch
Herunterfallen, Schlagen, Verbiegen usw. Schneiden, Reißen, Deformieren
oder bohren Sie niemals an der Batterie-Außenfolie. Verbiegen oder
verdrehen Sie niemals die LiPo-Batterie.
Ist die LiPo-Batterie beschädigt darf sie in keinem Fall mehr in Benutzung
genommen werden. Kennzeichen beschädigter Batteriezellen sind u.a.
beschädigte Außenfolien, Verformung der Zellen, Geruch von Elektrolyte oder
auslaufende Elektrolyte. Beschädigte oder unbrauchbare Zellen sind
Sondermüll und müssen entsprechend entsorgt werden.
Allgemeine Warnhinweise
Die LiPo-Batterie darf keinesfalls verbrannt werden.
Ebenso darf die Batterie nicht in Flüssigkeiten wie Wasser, Meerwasser oder
Getränke eingetaucht werden. Jeder Kontakt mit Flüssigkeit gleich welcher Art
ist zu vermeiden. Eine LiPo-Batterie ist kein Spielzeug und darf deshalb nicht
in die Hände von Kindern gelangen. Die LiPo-Batterie außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren. Die LiPo-Batterie darf nicht in die Nähe von
Babys oder Kleinkinder gelangen. Sollte eine Batterie verschluckt worden
sein, so ist sofort ein Arzt oder Notarzt aufzusuchen.
Die LiPo-Batterie darf nicht in eine Mikrowelle oder unter Druck geraten.
Rauch und Feuer und noch mehr können die Folgen sein.
Zerlegen Sie niemals eine LiPo-Batterie. Das Zerlegen einer Batterie kann
interne Kurzschlüsse verursachen. Gasentwicklung, Feuer und Explosionen
oder andere Probleme können die Folge sein.
Die in der LiPo-Batterie enthaltenen Elektrolyte und Elektrolytdämpfe sind
gesundheitsschädlich. Vermeiden Sie in jedem Fall direkten Kontakt mit
Elektrolyte. Bei Kontakt von Elektrolyte mit Haut, Augen oder anderen
Körperteilen muss ein sofortiges Aus- oder Abspülen mit ausreichend frischem
Wasser vorgenommen werden, anschließend muss ein Arzt konsultiert
werden.
Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
Das Flugmodell ist geeignet für Jugendliche ab 14 Jahren.
Für den Betrieb Ihres Flugmodells benötigen Sie eine gültige
Haftpflichtversicherung, dies ist gesetzlich vorgeschrieben.
Vor dem Versuch der ersten Inbetriebnahme muss die gesamte
Betriebsanleitung sorgfältig gelesen werden. Sie alleine sind verantwortlich für

den sicheren Betrieb Ihres RC-Flugmodells. Bei Jugendlichen muss der
Betrieb von einem Erwachsenen, der mit den Gegebenheiten und möglichen
Gefahren eines RC-Flugmodells vertraut ist, verantwortlich überwacht werden.
Rechtlich gesehen, ist ein Flugmodell ein Luftfahrzeug und unterliegt
entsprechenden Gesetzen, die unbedingt eingehalten werden müssen. Die
Broschüre »Modellflugrecht, Paragrafen und mehr«, Best.-Nr. 8034.02 stellt
eine Zusammenfassung dieser Gesetze dar; sie kann auch beim Fachhandel
eingesehen werden.
Es dürfen nur die in dem Bausatz enthaltenen Teile, sowie die ausdrücklich
von uns empfohlenen Ersatzteile verwendet werden. Wird eine Komponente
der Antriebseinheit geändert, ist ein sicherer Betrieb nicht mehr gewährleistet
und es erlischt jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Stets mit dem notwendigen Sicherheitsabstand zu Personen oder
Hindernissen fliegen, nie Personen überfliegen oder auf sie zufliegen!
Modellflug darf nur bei Außentemperaturen von - 5º C bis + 35º C betrieben
werden. Extreme Temperaturen führen zu negativen Veränderungen der
Batteriekapazität und der Werkstoffeigenschaften.
Jeder Modellflieger hat sich so zu verhalten, dass die öffentliche Sicherheit,
insbesondere andere Personen und Sachen nicht gefährdet oder gestört
werden.
Das Flugmodell niemals in der Nähe von Hochspannungsleitungen,
Industriegeländen, in Wohngebieten, öffentlichen Straßen, Schulhöfen oder
Spielplätzen usw. fliegen lassen.
Beim erstmaligen Steuern eines Flugmodells ist es von Vorteil, wenn ein
erfahrener Helfer bei der Überprüfung und den ersten Flügen zur Seite steht.
Luftschrauben die durch einen Motor angetrieben werden, stellen eine
ständige Verletzungsgefahr dar. Sie dürfen mit keinem Körperteil berührt
werden! Eine schnell drehende Luftschraube kann z. B. einen Finger
einschneiden!
Die Blockierung der Luftschraube, durch irgendwelche Teile, muss
ausgeschlossen sein.
Die Fluglage des Modells muss während des gesamten Fluges immer
eindeutig erkennbar sein, um immer ein sicheres Steuern und Ausweichen zu
gewährleisten.

Sicherheitsgründen sofort die Landung eingeleitet werden. Sie haben anderen
Luftfahrzeugen stets auszuweichen. Start- und Landeflächen müssen frei von
Personen und sonstigen Hindernissen sein.
Immer auf vollgeladene bzw. neue Batterien achten, da sonst keine
einwandfreie Funktion der RC-Anlage gewährleistet ist.

Herstellererklärung der Fa. Graupner/SJ GmbH
Inhalt der Herstellererklärung
Sollten sich Mängel an Material oder Verarbeitung an einem von uns in der Bundesrepublik
Deutschland vertriebenen, durch einen Verbraucher (§ 13 BGB) erworbenen Gegenstand zeigen,
übernehmen wir, die Fa. Graupner/SJ GmbH, Kirchheim/Teck im nachstehenden Umfang die
Mängelbeseitigung für den Gegenstand.
Rechte aus dieser Herstellererklärung kann der Verbraucher nicht geltend machen, wenn die
Beeinträchtigung der Brauchbarkeit des Gegenstandes auf natürlicher Abnutzung, Einsatz unter
Wettbewerbsbedingungen, unsachgemäßer Verwendung (einschließlich Einbau) oder Einwirkung
von außen beruht.
Diese Herstellererklärung lässt die gesetzlichen oder vertraglich eingeräumten Mängelansprüche
und Rechte des Verbrauchers aus dem Kaufvertrag gegenüber seinem Verkäufer (Händler)
unberührt.
Umfang der Garantieleistung
Im Garantiefall leisten wir nach unserer Wahl Reparatur oder Ersatz der mangelbehafteten Ware.
Weitergehende Ansprüche, insbesondere Ansprüche auf Erstattung von Kosten im
Zusammenhang mit dem Mangel
(z.B. Ein-/Ausbaukosten) und der Ersatz von Folgeschäden sind, soweit gesetzlich zugelassen
ausgeschlossen. Ansprüche aus gesetzlichen Regelungen, insbesondere nach dem
Produkthaftungsgesetz, werden hierdurch nicht berührt.
Voraussetzung der Garantieleistung
Der Käufer hat den Garantieanspruch schriftlich unter Beifügung des Originals des Kaufbelegs
(z.B. Rechnung, Quittung, Lieferschein) und dieser Garantiekarte geltend zu machen. Er hat
zudem die defekte Ware auf seine Kosten an die folgende Adresse einzusenden.

Der Transport des Gegenstandes vom Verbraucher zu uns als auch der Rücktransport Erfolgen
auf Gefahr des Verbrauchers.
Gültigkeitsdauer
Diese Erklärung ist nur für während der Anspruchsfrist bei uns geltend gemachten Ansprüche aus
dieser Erklärung gültig. Die Anspruchsfrist beträgt 24 Monate ab Kauf des Gerätes durch den
Verbraucher bei einem Händler in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Kaufdatum). Werden Mängel
nach Ablauf der Anspruchsfrist angezeigt oder die zur Geltendmachung von Mängeln nach dieser
Erklärung geforderten Nachweise oder Dokumente erst nach Ablauf der Anspruchsfrist vorgelegt,
so stehen dem Käufer keine Rechte oder Ansprüche aus dieser Erklärung zu.
Verjährung
Soweit wir einen innerhalb der Anspruchsfrist ordnungsgemäß geltend gemachten Anspruch aus
dieser Erklärung nicht anerkennen, verjähren sämtliche Ansprüche aus dieser Erklärung in 6
Monaten vom Zeitpunkt der Geltendmachung an, jedoch nicht vor Ende der Anspruchsfrist.
Anwendbares Recht
Auf diese Erklärung und die sich daraus ergebenden Ansprüche, Rechte und Pflichten findet
ausschließlich das materielle deutsche Recht ohne die Normen des Internationalen Privatrechts
sowie unter Ausschluss des UN-Kaufrechts Anwendung.

It really is essential to read and observe the special safety notes included in these
operating instructions and the appendix. If you ever dispose of the model, please be sure
to pass on the complete operating instructions to the new owner.
Introduction
The Pilatus Porter PC 6 is an ultra-lightweight RC model aircraft with very
sweet-natured flying characteristics. The model is supplied in “Ready for
HoTT” form, i.e. it is fitted with a high-quality GR-12SH+ HoTT receiver and
accessories as standard. No adhesive is required to complete the model.
The illustration shows the GR-12SH+ HoTT receiver; it is installed in the
model’s fuselage, and already connected ready for use. The receiver’s lowvoltage warning is programmed to 3.0 Volt.
Please note that operating instructions for this receiver are supplied separately
in the pack.

Charging the LiPo cell using the USB charge stick
Push the LiPo cell into the USB charge stick as shown in the illustration, then
insert the charge stick in a suitable USB socket. An excellent choice is the
Graupner Powerbank, No. 6481. A monitor LED inside the charge stick lights

up during the charge process; the cell is fully charged when the LED goes out.
Withdraw the LiPo cell when the charge is complete. Place the fully charged
LiPo cell in the model’s battery compartment and press it onto the hook-andloop strip. The model is now ready for binding to your HoTT transmitter.
Binding the GR-12SH receiver to the recommended MXS-8 HoTT
transmitter
Move the right-hand transmitter stick back to the “Motor off” position, then
switch the transmitter on by pressing the Power button.
Now switch the receiver on by plugging in the LiPo cell as shown in the
picture; the red LED on the receiver lights up.
Pressing the transmitter’s Power button a second time binds the receiver to
the transmitter.
Ensure that the transmitter is not too close to the transmitter during
“BINDING”, as this could cause the process to fail. We recommend leaving at
least 0.5 m between the transmitter and the model.
If you are using a different HoTT computer system, the “BINDING” procedure
may be different from that described above. In this case please refer to the
chapter entitled “Binding the transmitter and receiver” in the manual supplied
with your radio control system.
When the “BINDING” process is complete, carry out a check of the working
systems. The servos inside the fuselage are connected to the receiver in the
following sequence: socket 1: speed controller; socket 2: rudder servo; socket
3: elevator servo. If you are using stick mode 1 this means that throttle and
direction (rudder) are controlled by the right-hand transmitter stick; elevator by
the left-hand stick. Pulling the elevator stick back towards you causes the
elevator to deflect up; pushing it forward produces down-elevator.
If necessary, correct the direction of rotation of the servos and set them
exactly to centre (neutral) using the “Servo settings” menu at the transmitter.
This is very important, otherwise the model will not fly straight, and may climb
or dive instead of flying level. Now carry out a check of the power system:
move the right-hand stick forward, and the motor should run.

Final assembly
No adhesive is required to complete the model.
First push the wing struts into the slots in the fuselage sides.
Now push the wing forward into the fuselage, and lay the trailing edge down
onto the retaining magnet.
Slide the wing struts into the brackets on the underside of the wings, and
press them into place.

Control surface travels
We recommend the following maximum travels, in each case measured at the
trailing edge of the control surface: rudder 5 mm each way, elevator 5 mm up
and down. The control surface travels can be adjusted at the transmitter. If
you are not sure how to do this, please refer to the appropriate section in your
HoTT COMPUTER SYSTEM manual.
Balancing
The correct Centre of Gravity is at a point about 20 mm back from the wing
leading edge at the root. You can check the Centre of Gravity by supporting
the aeroplane at the appropriate point under the wing roots on two fingertips:
the model should now balance level. The Centre of Gravity will automatically
be correct, provided that you have made no modifications to the airframe.
Flying
The model should be assembled and prepared completely before flying. First
flights require flat calm conditions, or no more than a very light breeze. Since
the model is ultra-light at just 44 g ready to fly, it must never be flown in
windy conditions. The ideal flying site is a large, open grassy field. Never fly
between buildings or amongst trees, as the obstructions cause turbulence in
the air, making the aircraft difficult to control. If you are a complete beginner to
flying model aeroplanes, we strongly recommend that you ask an experienced
modeller to help you check the model, and fly it for the first time.
Switch the motor on and give the aeroplane a gentle hand-launch directly into
any wind; do not throw it. The model’s nose should be angled up slightly
(approx. 15°) when launched. If you have access to a smooth tarmac surface,
the Pilatus can also be taken off from the ground.
It is essential to adjust the model’s trim carefully, especially during the first
flight: this is accomplished by operating the trim buttons below and to one side
of the primary sticks. Always land directly into wind, with the motor switched
off. Gently apply up-elevator to flare out and reduce speed just before the
model touches down. Always land directly into wind.
If you have access to a large hall, the aircraft is also an excellent choice for
indoor flying.
Remove the LiPo cell from the model immediately after each flight, and
charge it up again. This will avoid deep-discharging the cell, which could
cause permanent damage to it.

Instructions and warning notes on the use of LiPo batteries
Mishandling can result in explosion, fire, smoke and possible contamination.
Neglecting these instructions and warning notes may also result in loss of
performance and other faults. The capacity of any LiPo battery declines with
every charge / discharge cycle. Storing batteries in excessively hot or cold
conditions can also result in a gradual decrease in capacity.
The LiPo battery must be charged using the charger supplied in the pack only.
Any modifications to the charger may result in serious damage. The charge
station must rest on a non-inflammable, heat-resistant, non-conductive surface
when charging is in progress. You should also keep inflammable and volatile
materials and objects away from the charging area. Batteries must never be
left on charge unsupervised.
Avoid short-circuits
Never short-circuit the battery. Short-circuits cause a very high current to flow,
and this heats up the cells, resulting in loss of electrolyte, gassing or even
explosion. To avoid the danger of short-circuits, do not handle Graupner LiPo
batteries on or over electrically conductive surfaces.
Strength of the cell’s outer foil
The aluminium laminate foil can easily be damaged by any sharp object, such
as a pin, knife, nail or similar. Any damage to the foil casing renders the
battery unusable. If a short-circuit occurs, the battery could catch fire.
Temperatures above 70°C may also damage the foil ca sing, causing leaks.
This results in loss of electrolyte; the battery is then unusable, and you should
dispose of it.
Mechanical shock
In mechanical terms LiPo cells are not as durable as conventional battery
cells, and for this reason you should avoid subjecting them to mechanical

shocks, e.g. dropping, striking or bending. Never cut, tear, deform or drill into
the battery’s foil case. Do not bend or twist the LiPo cell.
If the LiPo battery should suffer damage, it must not be used again.
Indications of damaged cells are damage to the casing, distortion of the cells,
electrolyte smells or escaped electrolyte. Damaged or otherwise defective
cells constitute toxic waste, and correct disposal is essential.
General warning notes
Do not incinerate the LiPo battery.
The battery must not make contact with fresh or salt water or drinks. Any
contact with liquid, no matter what type, must be avoided. LiPo batteries are
not playthings, and must be kept out of the hands of children. Store LiPo
batteries out of the reach of children. LiPo batteries should never be left close
to babies or toddlers. If a child swallows a battery, seek emergency medical
aid without delay.
LiPo batteries must not be placed in a microwave oven or subjected to
pressure; these errors may result in smoke, fire or worse.
Never dismantle a LiPo battery. Taking a battery apart may cause internal
short-circuits, possibly resulting in gassing, fire, explosion or other problems.
LiPo batteries contain electrolyte and electrolytic vapours which are injurious
to health. If electrolyte contacts skin, eyes or other body parts, it must be
washed away immediately with plenty of clean water. Be sure to consult a
doctor afterwards.
General safety notes
This model aircraft is suitable for young persons of fourteen years or over.
It is a legal requirement to obtain third-party insurance before you operate any
model aircraft.
Before attempting to operate the model for the first time it is essential to read
right through the operating instructions attentively. You alone are responsible
for the safe operation of your RC model aircraft. Young persons must be
supervised by a responsible adult who is aware of the possible hazards
involved in the operation of model aeroplanes.
In legal terms our models are classed as aircraft, and as such are subject to
legal regulations and restrictions which must be observed at all times. Our
brochure entitled »Modellflugrecht, Paragrafen und mehr« (Model flying law,
regulations and more), Order No. 8034.02, contains a summary of these
regulations; any model shop should have a copy which you can read.
It is important to use only those parts included in the kit, together with other
genuine Graupner accessories and replacement parts as recommended
expressly by us. Even if you change a single component in the power train,
you can no longer be sure that the whole system will work reliably, and such
changes also invalidate your guarantee.

Always maintain a safe distance between your model and other people or
objects. Never fly low over people or directly towards them.
Radio-controlled models should only be flown in “normal” weather conditions,
i.e. a temperature range of -5° to +35°C. More extr eme temperatures can lead
to changes in battery capacity, material characteristics, the strength of glued
joints and other unwanted effects.
All model flyers should behave in a way which minimises the danger to people
and property. Never act in any manner which will disturb other pilots.
Don’t operate your model aeroplane in the vicinity of overhead power cables,
industrial sites, residential areas, public roads, school playgrounds or sports
fields etc.
If you are a beginner to this type of model flying, we recommend that you
enlist an experienced model pilot to help you check and test-fly the model.
Propellers powered by a motor constitute a permanent hazard and represent a
real risk of injury. Don’t touch them with any part of your body. For example, a
propeller spinning at high speed can easily cut your finger badly.
Make sure that it is impossible for any object to stall or block the propeller.
If you are to fly your model safely and avoid problems, it is essential that you
are aware of its position and attitude throughout each flight. If you detect a
control problem or interference during a flight, immediately land the model to
prevent a potential accident. Model aeroplanes must always give way to fullsize aircraft. Take-off and landing strips should be kept free of people and
other obstacles.
Your RC system can only work reliably if the dry cells are in good condition,
and rechargeable batteries are kept fully charged.

Extent of the guarantee
If a claim is made under guarantee, we undertake at our discretion to repair or

especially according to product liability law.

Généralités
Le Pilatus Porter PC 6 est un modèle radiocommandé particulièrement léger
aux caractéristiques de vol extrêmement saines. Le modèle est livré en version
„Ready for HoTT“. D’origine, il est livré avec un récepteur GR-12SH+ HoTT et
des accessoires de qualité. Pour le montage, pas besoin de colle.
La vue représente le récepteur GR-12SH+ HoTT qui est monté dans le modèle,
prêt à l’emploi et branché. Par ailleurs, un seuil de déclenchement d’alarme en
cas de sous-alimentation du récepteur est programmé à 3,0 Volt.
Notez que la notice d’utilisation de ce récepteur figure à part dans l’emballage.

Branchez ensuite le Stick de charge dans un port USB adéquat. La Powerbank
Graupner Réf. 6481 est idéalement adapté à cela. Une LED de contrôle dans le
Stick lui-même reste allumée durant toute la charge, lorsqu’elle s’éteint, l’élément
est chargé. Après la charge, retirez l’élément LiPo du Stick. Fixez l’élément LiPo
ainsi chargé dans son logement avec un collier Velcro. Le modèle est maintenant
prêt pour l’assignation à votre émetteur HoTT.

Assignation du récepteur GR-12SH à l’émetteur MXS-8 HoTT que nous
recommandons
Mettez le manche de commande droit de votre émetteur en position arrière,
c’est-à-dire en position „Arrêt Moteur“. Allumez d’abord l’émetteur en appuyant
sur la touche Power.
Allumez maintenant le récepteur en mettant en place l’élément LiPo comme
indiqué sur la vue ci-dessus, la LED rouge du récepteur s’allume alors.
Si vous appuyez une nouvelle fois sur la touche Power de l’émetteur, le
récepteur est assigné à votre émetteur.
Au cours de cette procédure „BIND“ (assignation), veillez à ce que l’émetteur ne
soit pas trop près du modèle, sinon, la procédure risque d’échouer. Nous
préconisons une distance d’au moins 0,5 m entre l’émetteur et le modèle.
Pour d’autres émetteurs HoTT la procédure „BIND“ se déroule de manière
différente à celle décrite ici, dans un pareil cas, consultez le chapitre „Binding“
dans le manuel de l’émetteur et du récepteur de votre radiocommande.
En fin de procédure „BIND“, faites un essai de fonctionnement des gouvernes.
Les servos à l’intérieur du fuselage sont branchés au récepteur de la manière
suivante: Sortie 1, Variateur, sortie 2, Servo de cde de la Direction, sortie 3,
servo de cde de la Profondeur. Cela correspond au mode de pilotage 1, c’est-àdire Moteur et Direction sur le manche de commande droit, commande de la
Profondeur sur le manche gauche. Le fait de tirer sur ce manche provoque un
débattement de la gouverne de profondeur vers le haut, le fait de pousser, un
débattement vers le bas.
Si nécessaire, vous pouvez inverser le sens de rotation des servos dans le menu
“Réglage servos“ de l’émetteur, puis remettez les gouvernes au neutre. Ceci est
très important pour que le modèle puisse suivre par la suite une trajectoire
rectiligne. Faites maintenant un essai moteur en poussant le manche de
commande droit vers l’avant.

Le montage
Pour le montage du modèle, pas besoin de colle
Montez d’abord les haubans des ailes dans le fuselage, voir ci-dessus.
Insérez l’aile par l’avant dans le fuselage comme indiqué ci-dessus et montez-la
avec le verrou magnétique.
Emmanchez les haubans dans les points d’ancrage de l’aile comme indiqué
ci-dessus.

Débattements des gouvernes
Nous conseillons les débattements maxi. suivants, mesurés au bord de fuite de
la gouverne: Direction, 5mm de part et d’autre, Profondeur 5 mm vers le haut et
vers le bas. Le réglage des débattements des gouvernes se fait par l’émetteur. A
ce sujet, suivez les instructions du manuel de votre radiocommande HoTTCOMPUTERSYSTEM.
Centrage
Le centre de gravité se situe à 20 mm, à l’arrière du bord d’attaque de l’aile.
Vous pouvez vérifier le centrage en sous-pesant le modèle par le dessous de
l’aile, sur deux doigts. Dans ce cas, le modèle doit rester à l'horizontale. Si
aucune modification n’est effectuée sur le modèle, le centre de gravité est
automatiquement au bon endroit.
Le premier vol
Une fois le modèle prêt, ne faites les premiers essais que par temps calme, vent
nul ou très faible. Compte tenu de son faible poids, à peine 44 g, ne volez
pas avec ce modèle lorsque le vent est trop violent. Un endroit dégagé, sans
obstacles est un terrain idéal. Ne décollez par entre les arbres ou entre des
immeubles, les turbulences qui y règnent rendraient le modèle difficilement
contrôlable. Si vous pilotez pour la première fois, n’hésitez pas à faire appel à un
pilote expérimenté qui saura vous assister pour les premiers vols.
Lancez le modèle à la main, moteur tournant bien face au vent, ne pas le jeter.
Au lâcher, le nez du modèle doit être légèrement relevé (env. 15°).
Si vous disposez d’une piste en dur, vous pouvez décollez le modèle du sol.
Un réglage aux trims, après le premier vol est pratiquement inévitable, il se fait
avec les touches de trim, situés en dessous et à coté des deux manches de
commande. Pour l’atterrissage, faites votre approche finale toujours face au vent,
moteur coupé. Avant de toucher le sol, réduisez la vitesse du modèle en tirant
légèrement sur la profondeur, pour lui casser la vitesse. L'atterrissage doit
toujours se faire face au vent.
Si vous disposez d’une salle suffisamment grande…, ce modèle est parfaitement
adapté au vol Indoor.
Après le vol, retirez immédiatement l’élément LiPo qu modèle et rechargezle. Vous éviterez ainsi une décharge trop forte de l’élément, décharge qui
peut l’endommager.

Instructions et consignes de sécurité des accus LiPo
Une mauvaise manipulation peut provoquer des explosions, des incendies des
dégagements de fumées et vapeurs qui peuvent être nocives. Par ailleurs, le
non respect de ces instructions réduisent les performances et conduisent à
d’autres.
La capacité de l’accu LiPo diminue au fur et à mesure des charges et des
décharges. Même un stockage à température trop basse ou trop élevée pour
conduire à une perte de capacité de l’accu.
L’accu LiPo ne peut être rechargé qu’avec le chargeur qui est fourni avec le
modèle. Toute intervention sur le chargeur ou sur les cordons de charge peut
avoir de graves conséquences.
Durant toute la charge, l’accu LiPo doit se trouver sur une surface non
inflammable et non conductrice! Il faut donc éloigner tout objet sensible à la
chaleur et inflammable de l’emplacement où s’effectue la charge. Ne jamais
laisser un accu en charge sans surveillance.
Evitez les court-circuits
Ne court-circuitez jamais votre accu. Un court-circuit provoque une intensité très
élevée qui surchauffe les éléments, ce qui peut provoquer des fuites
d’électrolyte, un dégagement de gaz nocifs, et même des explosions. Pour ne
pas provoquer de court-circuits avec les accus LiPo Graupner, évitez tout contact
avec des surfaces conductrices lors de vos différentes manipulations.
Résistance de l’enveloppe
L’enveloppe, en film d’aluminium, est fragile et peut facilement être endommagée
avec des épingles, des clous, des cutters ou autres outils tranchants. Dès que
l’enveloppe est endommagée, l’accu devient inutilisable. En cas de court-circuit,
l’accu peut prendre feu.

Des températures supérieures à 70°C peuvent égaleme nt endommager
l’enveloppe, celle-ci n’est alors plus étanche, fuites d’électrolyte, et l’accu devient
alors inutilisable, il faudra le recycler et le remplacer.
Chocs mécaniques
Mécaniquement, les accus LiPo sont moins résistants que des éléments avec
des enveloppes métalliques. C’est pourquoi, il faut éviter de les laisser tomber,
ou de leur faire subir des contraintes trop fortes. Ne jamais couper, déchirer ou
percer un accu LiPo.
Dès qu’un accu LiPo est endommagé, il ne faut plus s’en servir. On peut
reconnaître des accus ou enveloppes endommagés à la déformation des
éléments, à l’odeur de l’électrolyte ou à la fuite d’électrolyte. Les éléments
endommagés ou inutilisables font l’objet d’un recyclage particulier et doivent être
déposé dans un centre de tri approprié.
Consignes de sécurité - Généralités
Les accus LiPo ne doivent jamais être brûlés.
Les éléments ne doivent jamais être immergés dans des liquides telles que l’eau,
l’eau de mer ou des boissons. Evitez tout contact avec des liquides, quelque soit
sa nature.
Les éléments seuls ou des accus ne sont pas des jouets et ne doivent pas être
accessibles aux enfants. Tenez les accus/éléments hors de portée des enfants.
Les accus ne doivent jamais se trouver à proximité des nourrissons ou des
enfants en bas âge. Si des accus sont avalés, consultez immédiatement un
médecin.
Ne pas mettre les accus dans un four à micro ondes et ne pas les mettre sous
pression. Il peut y avoir dégagement de fumée, de feu et bien plus encore.
Ne démontez jamais un pack d’accus LiPo. Le fait de le démanteler peut
provoquer des court-circuits internes. Il y a risque de dégagement de fumées
nocives, d’incendie et d’explosion. L’électrolyte et les vapeurs d’électrolyte

Consignes de sécurité
Ce modèle n’est pas destiné aux jeunes de moins de 14 ans.
Pour évoluer avec votre modèle, il vous faut une assurance Responsabilité
Civile, c’est imposé par la loi.
Avant le premier vol et les premiers essais, il faut lire attentivement la totalité de
la notice de montage et d’utilisation. Vous êtes seul responsable pour une
évolution en toute sécurité avec votre modèle. Dans le cas de jeunes de moins
de 14 ans, le montage, et par la suite, le vol ne devront se faire que sous la

surveillance d’une personne adulte, consciente de la réalité des dangers
éventuels d’un modèle réduit.
D’un point de vue purement légal, un modèle réduit est un véritable appareil
volant et est donc soumis à des lois bien précises, qui doivent impérativement
être respectées. La brochure „Droits des modèles réduits, paragraphes et
d’avantage encore“ Réf. 8034.02, vous donne un résumé de toutes ces lois; vous
pouvez également la consulter chez votre détaillant.
Seules les pièces fournies dans la boîte de construction doivent être utilisées,
ainsi que les accessoires et pièces de rechange qui doivent toujours être
d’origine Graupner. Il suffit de changer un seul composant de l’ensemble de
propulsion pour ne plus pouvoir assurer un fonctionnement correct, et vous
perdez tout droit à la garantie.
Volez toujours à une distance respectable vis à vis des autres personnes, ne les
survolez jamais et ne volez jamais dans leur direction!
Le modélisme ne peut être pratiqué qu’à des températures extérieures de - 5º C
à + 35º C. Des températures extrêmes peuvent, par exemple, conduire à des
modifications de la capacité de l’accu et des caractéristiques des matériaux.
Le comportement de chaque modéliste doit être tel, que l’ordre public et la
sécurité, en particulier celle des autres personnes, soient respectés, et que la
pratique du modélisme ne soit pas remise en cause par des agissements
irresponsables.
Ne jamais évoluez avec votre modèle à proximité de lignes haute tension, dans
des zones industrielles, dans des lotissements, sur des routes et places ouvertes
au public, dans des cours d’école, des aires de jeux etc.
Pour les premiers vols, il est conseillé de vous faire assister par un pilote
confirmé, c’est un avantage certain.
Les hélices, et de manière générale toutes les pièces en rotation qui sont
entraînées par un moteur représentent un danger potentiel. Aucune partie du
corps ne doit entrer en contact avec ces éléments! Une hélice, lancée à pleine
vitesse, peut vous „entailler“ un doigt!
Tout blocage de l’hélice, avec n’importe quoi, doit être formellement banni.
Afin de garder le contrôle du modèle et de toujours pouvoir le piloter
correctement, ne jamais le perdre de vue. Si vous constatez des interférences ou
perturbations en vol, posez-vous immédiatement, pour des raisons de sécurité.
C’est à vous d’éviter les autres appareils. En phase de décollage et
d’atterrissage, la piste doit être libre et dégagée de toute personne et de tout
obstacle.
Veillez toujours à ce que vos accus soient bien chargés, faute de quoi, un
fonctionnement correct de l’ensemble radio ne peut être garanti.

Déclaration de conformité de la société Graupner/SJ GmbH
Contenu de la déclaration du fabricant
Si une pièce, que nous avons mise sur le marché allemand, devait présenter un défaut ou un vice
caché (conformément au § 13 BGB ), nous, Sté Graupner/SJ GmbH, Kirchheim/Teck nous nous
engageons à la remplacer dans le cadre ci-dessous.
L’utilisateur ne peut faire valoir les droits de cette déclaration, si la pièce en question a fait l’objet
d’une usure normale, si elle a été utilisée dans des conditions météorologiques anormales, si son
utilisation n’est pas conforme (y compris le montage) ou si elle a été sujette à des influences
extérieures. Cette déclaration ne change en rien les droits du consommateur (client) vis à vis de son
détaillant (revendeur).
Etendue de la garantie
Dans le cas d’une prise en charge au titre de la garantie, nous nous réservons le droit, soit de
remplacer la pièce en question, soit de la réparer. D’autres revendications, en particulier, les coûts
(de montage ou de démontage) liés de la pièce défectueuse et un dédommagement des dégâts
engendrés par cette pièce sont exclus du cadre légal. Les droits issus des différentes législations, en
particulier, les règles de responsabilité au niveau du produit, ne sont pas remises en cause.
Conditions de la garantie
L’acheteur peut faire valoir la garantie, par écrit, sur présentation de la preuve d’achat (par ex.
facture, quittance, reçu, bon de livraison). Les frais d’envoi, à l’adresse ci-dessous, restant à sa
charge.

Par ailleurs, l’acheteur est prié de décrire le défaut ou dysfonctionnement constaté de la manière la
plus explicite et la plus précise possible, de sorte que nous puissions vérifier la possibilité de la prise
en charge au titre de la garantie. Les marchandises voyagent toujours aux risques et périls du client,
qu’il s’agisse de l’expédition du client vers nos services ou l’inverse.
Durée de la garantie
La durée de la garantie est de 24 mois, à partir de la date d’achat, et achat effectué sur le territoire
allemand. Si des dysfonctionnements ou dommages devaient être constatés au delà de cette durée,
ou si des déclarations de non conformités devaient nous parvenir au delà de cette date, même avec
les preuves d’achat demandées, le client perd tout droit à la garantie, malgré la déclaration de
conformité ci-dessus.
Prescription
Tant que nous n’avons pas reconnu le bien fondé d’une réclamation, il y a prescription au bout de 6
mois, à partir de la date de la réclamation, néanmoins, pas avant la date d’expiration de la garantie.
Droit applicable
A cette déclaration et des réclamations, des droits et des devoirs qui en découlent n’est applicable
que le droit allemand, sans application du droit privé international et exclusion de l’application de la
convention des Nations Unies sur les contrats de vente.
