On Thursday, July 28, 2016, Toronto Police Service Hold Up and the Canadian Bankers
Association held a news conference requesting the public’s assistance identifying a
suspect for a series of five bank robberies in the GTA. The CBA announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and
conviction of the person responsible for these bank robberies, dubbed the "Envelope
Bandit." On April 25, 2016, a news release was posted with security camera images and video of

This man is responsible for these five bank robberies: 1) Friday, December 18, 2015. near Bristol Road West and Mavis Road, Mississauga 2) Friday, January 15, 2016, near The West Mall and Bloor Street West 3) Saturday, February 13, 2016, near Bloor Street West and Windermere Avenue 4) Thursday, February 18, 2016, near Keele Street and King Road, King City 5) Friday, March 4, 2016, near Highway 7 and Highway 27, Vaughan It is reported that: ­ a man entered the branches with his face concealed by sunglasses, a scarf and a hat
and hood ­ he handed over a hold­up note indicating he was armed with a weapon and made a
demand for money ­ he was given a quantity of cash and fled ­ no one was injured He is described as 30s, 5’5­5’8, thin build, slight moustache Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416­808­7350, Crime Stoppers
