When admiring a landscape, we always feel small; which should make us want to
respect it. For us at Gabel, respecting nature started even before experiencing it on
foot. 55 years ago Galdino Beltramello, the founder of Gabel, not only conveyed
to us the passion for sport, dedication to the job and the quest for excellence,
but also taught us to respect nature, because only in this way can we live in
harmony with it. Today, Gabel’s investments in technological research see us
engaged in selecting eco-friendly materials, able to combine performance and
reuse, emotions and respect. The path is not easy, but we will try to do our part.

Face à un paysage, nous nous sentons toujours petits et ceci devrait nous inciter à le
respecter. Mais le respect pour la nature commence avant pour nous, encore avant de
la vivre à pied. Il prend naissance il y a 55 ans avec le fondateur de Gabel, Galdino
Beltramello, qui ne nous a pas seulement transmis la passion pour le sport, le dévouement
au travail, la quête de l’excellence, mais il nous a aussi appris à respecter la nature,
parce que ce n’est qu’ainsi que nous pouvons vivre harmonieusement avec elle et jouir
de toute sa beauté. Les investissements de Gabel dans la recherche technologique
nous voient aujourd’hui engagés dans la sélection de matériaux compatibles avec
l’environnement, en mesure de combiner performances et réutilisation, émotions et
respect. Ce n’est pas un parcours simple mais nous essaierons d’y jouer notre rôle.

ha transmitido sólo la pasión por el deporte, la dedicación al trabajo, la búsqueda de lo mejor,
sino que nos ha enseñado también a respetar la naturaleza, porque sólo así podemos vivir
en sintonía con ella y disfrutar con su belleza. Las inversiones de Gabel en la investigación
tecnológica hoy, hacen que nos empeñemos en la selección de materiales compatibles
con el medio ambiente, capaces de unir prestaciones y re-utilización, emociones y

As well as attending to the technological aspect of its products, Gabel also pays
particular attention to their recycling. Each of us can help safeguard the environment
with small gestures. For example, a Gabel stick or pole is made up of aluminium, carbon
fibre, polypropylene, polyamide and other plastics. Did you know that these materials
are recyclable in various percentages depending on their composition? When your
stick needs replacing, it takes very little time to dismantle it, separating the parts and
putting them in the appropriate bins for the recycling, thereby helping to protect the

Outre que soigner l’aspect technologique de ses produits, Gabel consacre une particulière
attention à leur recyclage. Chacun de nous peut contribuer à la protection de l’environnement

GABEL IS MY CHOICE
The purpose of my life has always been sport in all its forms, and speed is my source of
energy. This is why I love, above all, the speed disciplines: skiing, auto racing, cycling
and sailing. I have tried them all and I’ve had my greatest satisfactions. My other great
love is nature and I recently discovered I can live it in an absolute way through Trekking
and Nordic Walking: two perfect sports to get in touch dynamically with nature, just as I
like. Perfect for my relaxing moments, these outdoor disciplines have really conquered
me and, as I’ve always done in every other sport, I decided to tackle them in the most
rigorous manner, starting from the equipment choice. That’s how I got to know Gabel.
I immediately felt an affinity with its philosophy, and its products have impressed me
because they are not only technically accurate and show an innovative design, but
they are also engaging and above all eco-friendly. That’s why my choice to use Gabel
poles for my Trekking and Nordic Walking tours came naturally and spontaneously.
Ma raison d’être a toujours été le sport, dans toutes ses formes, et la vitesse est ma
source d’énergie. C’est pour cela que j’aime au-dessus de tout les disciplines de vitesse:
le ski, l’automobilisme, le cyclisme et la voile, je me suis mesuré à toutes ces disciplines
et j’ai eu mes plus grandes satisfactions. Mon autre grand amour est la nature, et j’ai
compris récemment de pouvoir la vivre de manière absolue à travers le Trekking et le
Nordic Walking: deux activités pour entrer au contact de la nature de manière dynamique,
comme j’aime. Parfaites pour mes moments de détente, ces disciplines en plein air m’ont
vraiment capturé et, comme je l’ai toujours fait pour tous les autres sports, j’ai décidé
même dans ce cas de les affronter de la manière la plus rigoureuse, en commençant
par le choix de l’équipement. C’est ainsi que j’ai connu Gabel. J’ai aussitôt senti une
affinité avec sa philosophie, et ses produits m’ont frappé non seulement parce qu’ils
sont techniquement irréprochables et que leur design est innovant, mais aussi parce
qu’ils sont prenants et surtout eco-friendly. C’est pour cela que mon choix d’adopter
les bâtons Gabel pour mes randonnées de Trekking et Nordic Walking, a été naturel et
spontané. Le trekking est une agréable façon de vivre la nature: en marchant le long des
sentiers je peux vivre la montagne que… Le randonneur est avant tout une personne qui
aime la nature, qui tient au silence de la montagne et au respect des sentiers naturels,
aux animaux et aux espèces botaniques rares et délicates qui entourent le paysage.

Mi razón de vivir ha sido siempre el deporte, en todas sus formas, y la velocidad es mi
fuente de energía. Por eso amo sobre todo las disciplinas veloces: esquí, automovilismo,
ciclismo y vela, me he lanzado en todas y he recibido mis mayores satisfacciones. El otro
de mis grandes amores es el que siento por la naturaleza, y hace poco he descubierto
que puedo vivirlo de manera absoluta a través del Trekking y el Nordic Walking: dos
actividades para entrar en contacto con la naturaleza dinámicamente, como me gusta.
Perfectas para mis momentos de relax, estas disciplinas outdoor me han realmente
conquistado y, como siempre he hecho en cada otro deporte, también en este caso
he decidido afrontarlas lo más rigurosamente posible, empezando por la elección
del equipamiento. De esta manera he conocido a Gabel. En seguida he percibido una
afinidad con su filosofía, y sus productos me han impactado precisamente porque no
son sólo técnicamente impecables y con un diseño innovador, sino también porque
son cautivadores y sobre todo ecológicos. Por esta razón ha sido natural y espontáneo
para mí adoptar los palos Gabel para mis excursiones de Trekking y Nordic Walking.

The FAST LOCK system is based on
the locking clamp principle, as a valid
alternative to conventional systems.
FAST LOCK does not require rotation
of the tubes, but locks them through
an external lever mechanism, and
is fast and effective, even at low
temperatures and when wearing
gloves.
The MULTI LOCKING system
combines the hold of the FAST LOCK
with the reliability of the conventional
expander system, thereby maximising
clamping of the products. The addition
of an extra locking mechanism, the
LITE LOCKING SYSTEM, ensures total
fastening at any temperature and on
any terrain.

The new Lite Locking System is
certainly the lightest in the Gabel
range. Perfect in its shape, it has
been designed to comprise just
two components: the shaft and the
expander (the latter obtained directly
by extraction from the shaft to ensure
maximum hold and strength).

Los diagramas de a lado representan la carga axial máxima (continuada) de seguridad (en kilogramos y en
libras), para los diferentes artículos indicados, en función de la extensión (en centímetros y en pulgadas) y con la
hipótesis de un uso correcto, según indicado en el manual.
• En condiciones favorables, por una fracción de segundo y hasta 150 kg (331 Ib), la carga momentánea puede
superar de aproximadamente el 20% el valor dado por las curvas en correspondencia con una determinada longitud.
• Aunque resulten casos con carga superior a 150 kg (331 Ib), dicho valor tiene que ser considerado como límite
práctico en el uso normal, por cuestiones de margen de seguridad sobre manoplas y puntas de plástico, sobre
todo las largas.
