Correcte verwerking van metallic poedercoatings
Opmerkingen voor het plaatsen van een bestelling / over de werkvoorbereiding
Aangezien er zich problemen kunnen voordoen bij de toepassing van metallic poederlakken moet worden nagegaan of de vooropgestelde
profielen en componenten geschikt zijn voor gebruik onder de uithardingsvoorwaarden van TEODUR® Metallics. Bij het behandelen van
gevelelementen is het aan te bevelen slechts één coatingsysteem en éénzelfde applicatie-installatie te gebruiken. We raden aan om één
enkele batch van de poederlak te gebruiken voor hetzelfde project. Ondanks de voorzorgen genomen tijdens ons productieproces, kunnen
zich kleine “batch to batch” kleurvariaties voordoen. Zulke variaties kunnen leiden tot verschillen in kleur en uiterlijk wanneer onderdelen,
gepoederlakt met verschillende batches, vervolgens samen gemonteerd worden. Indien een project in een later stadium moet worden
verdergezet of onderdelen gerenoveerd dienen te worden, raden we aan dat de kleur en het uiterlijk van de nieuwe stukken zorgvuldig
vergeleken worden met de bestaande constructie. Als u een opvolgbestelling maakt voor een gevel die reeds gedeeltelijk werd
behandeld, dient u de voordien gebruikte batch (productienummer) te vermelden. Als bij een zeer groot project waarschijnlijk meerdere
batches poederlak zullen worden gebruikt, is het aan te bevelen een geschikt aantal referentiestalen aan te maken in de productie
installatie. Deze voorbeelden zijn referentievoorbeelden wanneer verschillende delen van een project met dezelfde kwaliteit maar
met verschillende coatingsystemen moeten worden behandeld.

Notes pour passer une commande / préparer un chantier
Vu que des problèmes peuvent survenir dans l’application des peintures en poudre metalliques, vous devez vérifier que les profilés
et composants peuvent supporter les conditions de cuisson nécessaires à l’utilisation des peintures en poudre métalliques TEODUR®.
Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser un seul type d’équipement ou un seul type d’application pour peindre les éléments d’une façade.
Nous attirons votre attention sur la nécessité d’utiliser un seul et unique lot de peinture pour la réalisation d’un chantier dans sa globalité.
En effet, malgré tout le soin apporté à nos fabrications, de légères fluctuations lot à lot sont possibles, celles-ci pouvant générer des
écarts de teinte et d’aspect plus ou moins perceptibles en cas d’appairage de pièces avec des lots différents. De même dans le cas d’une
continuité de chantier ou bien d’une reflection de pièces, nous vous recommandons de vous assurer que la teinte et l’aspects obtenus
avec le nouveau lot sont conformes à ceux des éléments réalises ou déjà en place.
Si vous devez faire une commande de queue de chantier pour une façade qui a déjà été peinte, veuillez svp nous indiquer quel numéro
de lot a été utilisé précédemment (numéro de production). Si vous devez utiliser plusieurs lot pour un ouvrage très important, nous vous
recommandons de préparer plusieurs échantillons sur le site de production. Ces échantillons vous serviront de référence si plusieurs
parties d’un objet doivent être peintes dans la même qualité chez diffférents applicateurs.

Proper processing of metallic powder coatings
Notes on placing an order / preparing a job
Since problems might occur when processing metallic powder coatings it must be verified that intended profiles and components
are suitable for use under TEODUR® Metallics’ curing conditions. It is of advantage to use only one coating system or one generation
of application equipment when coating façade elements.
We advise you to use a single batch of powder to coat the whole job.
Despite the care taken during our manufacturing process, some small batch to batch variations may occur. These variations could lead
to visible differences in color and appearance when parts coated with different batches of powder are subsequently fitted together.
Furthermore, if the job is extended at a later date, or parts are refurbished, we recommend that the color and appearance of new parts
are checked carefully to ensure that they are an acceptable match to the existing ones.
If you make a follow-up order for a facade that has already been coated in part, please indicate the previously used batch (production
number). If it is likely that several batches of coating are to be used for a very large object, we recommend you prepare an adequate
number of master samples at the production plant. These samples will serve as binding reference samples if various parts of an object
are to be coated at the same quality through different coating systems.
