We are actively working to promote youth active participation and volunteering. We are organising EVS and youth exchanges as well as local initiatives and activities for youth. In relation to the upcoming Varna ­ European Youth Capital 2017 we would like to introduce a group EVS project including 12 volunteers who will support the activities of different local organisations as well as the activities in town related to the Varna­EYC 2017. Vacancy # 1​: 2 EVS Volunteers to work with women and children Organisation: Foundation SOS – families in a risk, Website : http://sos­varna.org/ Foundation SOS – families in a risk is searching for a volunteer to participate in their team. The voluntary service is located in Varna, Bulgaria. The volunteer will support the team of a Shelter center for women and children victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. This project is a good opportunity for young people who would like to learn more about social work,psychology, organisation of free time activities, human rights, HIV/AIDS, work with children, non­formal education. Tasks Activities are focused on the organization of leisure activities for women and children victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Outdoor games with the children crafting activities cooking, walks and accompaniment, help for school, non formal language lessons, other leisure time activities own activities of the volunteer Criteria The volunteer shall be motivated to work with women and children and organize leisure time activities We are looking for a creative and flexible person, who is responsible to the given tasks. It offers education for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degree. Since 2000/2001 the University of Economics – Varna has joined the program Erasmus and in 2011/2012 has 50 partner universities with about 180 outgoing and incoming mobilities altogether. Since 2012 the University is hosting young and motivated people trough the European Voluntary Service and give them the opportunity to learn from our team. The organisation shall stimulate dialogue between civil society, state and municipal institutions and businesses in order to build confidence and promoting democratic values; Furthermore Varna­EYC works to encourage cooperation between youth organizations and the administration ot local, national, regional and European level. Tasks Tasks of the volunteers will be divided according to their individual profile and interest. The tasks offered are as following: Design and photography ● Handles visual information for the website, Facebook and other social media according to the program of Varna­EYC 2017; ● Design advertising material, photographs, posters etc. ● Photo coverage of the activities in the program of Varna 2017 (activities of youth organizations, activities of the association, formal events, etc.). Logistics, conferences and major events ● Helps meeting, accommodation and organizing international events ● International communication with foreign partners ● Assist the office staff International communication for Funcity + youth festival , supporting the volunteers team, project design: ● Communication with potential international partners and participants in the festival program ● Identification of international sponsors and donors, with European funding programs of the festival activities ● Conducting training modules / trainings for local volunteers.
