Teaching & Learning – Lesson Content Year Group 5/6 Scientific Enquiry Reversible changes Identify which substances dissolve in water. Use missing, dissolving, filtering and evaporation to separate materials. Irreversible changes Investigate the changes which take place when things are heated or burnt. Understand chemical changes which occur when some materials are mixed. Learn that a gas can sometimes be produced when an irreversible change takes place. Art & Design Name art Research and practice different lettering styles and line patterns. Use the two together to produce work based on their name, both 2D and 3D.
