The exit is some 700 metres from the Marina at Vélez. Baviera Golf estrenó sus segundos nueve hoyos en 2004. El campo es llano y no presenta grandes complicaciones en sus nueve hoyos originales, salvo en los greenes, con mucho movimiento y caídas. Los nuevos hoyos son, sin embargo, más técnicos, más complicados. Son como dos campos distintos, lo que confiere atractivo al recorrido, diseño de José María Cañizares. Baviera Golf, designed by former Ryder Cup star José María Cañizares, is a flat course, fairly easy except for the greens (which are large, on average), 700 square metres with slopes and swales. The fairways are very forgiving, 80 to 90 metres wide and without climbs or drops. There are four lakes on the first nine, affecting three holes. The golf course is 20 metres away. José María Cañizares plasmó su experiencia golfística en el diseño de Añoreta Golf. El campo se construyó sobre un terreno accidentado, lo que precisó un importante movimiento de tierras. Añoreta cuenta con cinco lagos, dos de ellos de grandes dimensiones, al igual que sus greenes, que disponen de varias plataformas, lo que ofrece una amplia gama de posibilidades para los cambios de bandera. El campo de Los Lagos es el más largo de Mijas Golf Internacional, presenta calles espaciosas, se asienta sobre un terreno cuidado y los árboles son más decorativos que obstruccionistas. No obstante, sus grandes bunkers y los obstáculos de agua están ingeniosamente diseñados, por lo que hay que tenerlos muy presentes cuando se golpea la bola. Los greenes son más pequeños y muchos se encuentran en una posición elevada. Es un campo que no hay que dejar de jugar. The Los Olivos course is younger (1984) and shorter, there’s less water and the fairways are tighter. The terrain is more inclined and features more trees. The greens are smaller and many are in an elevated position. It starts off deceptively, gently between the wide, flat fairways of the Atalaya Old Course, but things soon get more difficult as you head up into the foothills. The return leg wanders down among the fairways of the older course towards the chalet-style clubhouse.
