Ce très brillant groupe japonais décrit lui-même sa musique comme une « fusion
ethnique », ce qui est probablement le terme le mieux adapté pour qualifier quelque chose
d’aussi original. Cinq musiciens jouent flûte, violons et cordes « ethniques », percussions
« ethniques », piano, basse… tout cela pour créer une authentique « world music », en douze
instrumentaux, douze atmosphères évoquant tour à tour ou simultanément !! folk européen,
est-européen, américain, des caraïbes, Moyen-Orient, Orient,… Chaque morceau a sa
personnalité, son identité, mélodie forte et atmosphère surprenante, de la mélancolie au festif
et au « dansant ». Une musique originale, intensément suggestive et authentique : brillant !

This very brilliant japanese band describes its music as “ethnic fusion”, which is
probably the best way to talk about it. Five musicians play flute, fiddle, ethnic strings, ethnic
percussions, piano, bass and melodion, and create a real “world music”, twelve pieces, twelve
atmospheres coming from all the world, European folk, middle-eastern music, caribbean,
american, oriental or arab influences, and so on. Each piece has a strong, intense identity,
melody and atmosphere, from melancholy to joy and dance. It’s a very strong, original and
suggestive music. Just brilliant!
