OPERATORS –
STAFF OCCASIONALLY EXPOSED
1 DAY*
Public : Staff working on or near laser stations (Class 1 to class 3R).
Time and time allocation :
 *Duration : 1 day (7 h) or 0,5 day (3,5 h)
on request
 Distribution : 90 % theory, 10 % practice
LEVEL 2
Prerequisites : None

TECHNICAL, SCIENTIFIC &
MAINTENANCE STAFF
2 DAYS
Public : Personnel working on the laser and participating in actions adjustment and
maintenance (Class 1 to class 4).
Time and time allocation :
 Duration : 2 days (14 h)
 Distribution : 80 % theory, 20 % practice
LEVEL 3
Prerequisites : None

COMPETENT PERSON LASER SAFETY OFFICER
3 DAYS
Public : Maintenance staff, management, safety officer, doctor, member of Health and Safety
Executive, etc ... (Class 1 to class 4).
Time and time allocation :
 Duration : 3 days (21 h)
 Distribution : 75 % theory, 25 % practice
