Research
Fieldwork
My research focuses on economic, political, and social changes affecting the mining and industrial province of Katanga, in
the Democratic Republic of Congo (1999-2015, cumulative field residence: 3 years). The various research projects I have
carried out in this area pay particular attention to work, capitalism, mining, the state, racism and family dynamics. In
studying these topics, I developed a theoretical approach combining insights from anthropology, sociology, and history.
