Dans le but de diversifier ses ressources, la Bibliothèque met à disposition du grand
public, des universités, de la famille olympique et de l’administration du CIO une collection
de DVDs. L’objectif de cette nouvelle collection est de proposer des fictions, des
biographies d’athlètes, ainsi que des documentaires en relation avec les Jeux Olympiques
et le domaine du sport.
Pour chaque notice bibliographique, vous trouverez les informations suivantes, classées
par ordre alphabétique des titres :

- Prêt pour une durée de 15 jours

Du lundi au vendredi de 9h00 à 17h00
Dates de fermeture :
Fermé le lundi de novembre à fin mars. La Bibliothèque du CIO est également fermée les
jours fériés, le 1er mai, entre Noël et Nouvel An, ainsi que la deuxième semaine de janvier
pour cause d’inventaire.

With the aim of diversifying its resources, the Library offers the general public, universities,
the Olympic family and the IOC administration a collection of DVDs. The purpose of this
new collection is to offer fiction, athlete biographies and documentaries linked to the
Olympic Games and sport.
For each bibliographic record, you will find the following information, listed by alphabetical
order of author names:

Consultation
A consultation screen has been set up in the Library for you to watch DVDs in peace and
quiet. Wireless headphones are available.
Conditions for borrowing documents from the Library
- You must be resident in Switzerland and produce an identity document
- Loans are for a period of 15 days
Opening times:
Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed on:
Mondays from November to the end of March. The IOC Library is also closed on public
holidays, 1 May, between Christmas and New Year and during the second week of
January for stock-taking.

mentionne leur initiateur, Pierre de Coubertin qui, en se basant sur l’idéal

entre les peuples ». Interviews d’athlètes olympiques comme Emil Zatopek qui
explique qu’il est « fier de faire partie de la famille olympique ».

explique qu’il voulait dédier son œuvre à un homme qui, de par sa victoire et sa
vie, permit à la Grèce de rêver à nouveau.
This film tells the story of Spiridon “Spiros” Louis (1873-1940), who won the first

1972: Olympic Games in Munich. For the first time, the whole world’s television
channels were there to broadcast the event live. Millions of viewers were soon to
discover the unthinkable: a group of Palestinian terrorists had just taken 11 Israeli
athletes hostage, demanding the release of 200 political prisoners. Thirty years

On 14 June 2005, IOC President Jacques Rogge was a guest at the Olympic
Museum for the quarterly Agora. A discussion programme on topical issues for the
Olympic Museum and sport in general, Agora is a forum open to the public,
offering a chance to meet different guests for a lively and interactive exchange on
sport and society.
