COMMUNIQUÉ The most important training recognition event in Québec’s real estate industry COLLÈGE DE L’IMMOBILIER DU QUÉBEC’S EXCELLENCE NIGHT HONOURS TOP STUDENTS ÎLE DES SŒURS – The Collège de l’immobilier du Québec awarded fifteen $1,000 scholarships during its Excellence Night, which was held last May 9. For the first time, two honorary diplomas were awarded for exceptional contributions to the development and notoriety of real estate. The event attracted more than 100 real estate personalities and partners. For the past three years, the Collège has been rewarding academic performance by presenting scholarships for excellence to students who have the highest grade point averages. This year, 11 students enrolled in the Real Estate Agent program were chosen, along with two students from the Real Estate Broker program and two professionals for their continuous support to the development of real estate knowledge and skills. “The Collège and its partners congratulate the winners and confirm at the same time their commitment to the training and development of Québec’s real estate professionals,” says Francine Forget, Director General of the Collège de l’immobilier du Québec. “The Excellence Night is gaining in size each year, which clearly shows the importance and growth of our sector, as well as our position as the training centre for Québec’s real estate leaders.” New this year, the Collège awarded honorary diplomas to people or organizations that made an exceptional contribution to the development and notoriety of real estate. The recipients are Blue Storm Télé, which produced two highly popular documentary series, “Les Artisans du rebut global” and “Les Citadins du rebut global”, as well as Collège teacher Keith Collins, for his remarkable contribution to the advancement of real estate, notably through his teaching and professional commitment. –2– Finally, an honorary mention was given to the The Montreal Real Estate Foundation for Kids to recognize its leading role with large real estate societies that help meet real estate needs of organizations dedicated to kids.
