Michael Hall RELEASING THE GREATNESS OF NLP If you ask me there’s greatness in the NLP model! That’s why I fell in love with NLP and have been exploring it for some 23 years. Because of what it is, NLP is great for several things — for becoming a professional communicator, for modeling excellence, for creating practical success in everyday life, for identify the critical details that make all the difference in the world, and for actualizing a person’s highest and best possibilities Yet the greatness of NLP has not only not been released, it seems like it has intentionally been held back, put down, watered-down, imprisoned, and distorted. Most people on this planet don’t have a clue about the power and greatness in the NLP model. Why? Is there an international conspiracy against releasing its power? Or have we been incompetent in this area? Or what? What is required today for us to unleash the potential greatness of NLP? How can we begin building up a tipping point so that we can release the wonder and vision that we know is within this model? I think it’s time that we in this field get our act together to more fully experience the greatness of NLP and to release it. 3 Friday April 24th and Saturday 25th 2 Day Training with Dr. L. Michael Hall THE ART OF FACILITATING TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE Become a Change Agent for Transformative Change Transformative change is change that generates new possibilities and that specifically works to identify, unleash, liberate, and mobilize potentials so that you can actualize your highest visions and values and your best performances. As such transformative change is the unique domain for Coaches, Leaders, Managers, Therapists, Parents —anyone who wants to facilitate our inner selfactualizing change energies. Coaches: This is especially important for the new emerging field of Coaching since coaching unlike therapy, training, mentoring, etc. involves an expertise in the facilitation process rather than expertise in content. This means that, ideally, coaching is about generative change rather than remedial and about empowering the client to be the expert of his or her own experience and outcomes. Leaders: This is also equally important for leaders, leadership development, and being able to facilitate organizational, group, company, and cultural change. Today, leading via the coaching methodology provides leaders a new way to lead other than the old ‘command-and-control’ method. Therapists, Hypno-therapists, Modellers’: The transformation models to be presented are equally valuable for therapists working with remedial change that facilitates the elimination of interferences and sabotages to actualizing one’s highest potentials. Because generative change is most fitting for psychologically healthy people who are ready to move on to the next level of development —it is the kind of change that business consultants, coaches, leaders, and managers primarily deal with. Making it Systematic Because Coaching is still a new emerging field, a lot of coaching is more like a grab-bag of tricks and does not involve a systematic structure. To move beyond “flying-by-the-seat-of-your-pants” coaching, we need to identify the structural processes of coaching and then use systematic processes so that we can know what to do, when to do the processes, with whom, how, and why. When we are able to answer this question, we are then able to bring a systemic approach to what we are doing. How do you know what to do, when, with whom, how, and why? You will learn 4 models that are designed to empower you to learn the facilitation art of transformative change. 4 1) The Axis of Change model. This is the only change model in the field of Coaching not based on therapy models of change, but upon the premises of generative change. Based on four metaprograms as perceptual frames, discover how the dance of change occurs and how to coach to motivation, decision, creation, and integration. 2) The Matrix Model This model offers a system approach to two key facets of human consciousness and experience —the processes by which we create our reality (meaning, intention, and state) and the content of developmental psychology which intimately forms our consciousness (self, power, others, time, world). With this model, you’ll learn to “follow the energy of your client as it moves through their mind-body system” and be able to quickly get to the heart of things. The Matrix model is based upon the MetaStates model and developmental psychology. 3) The Self-Actualization Quadrants Model The experience of self-actualization that involves peak experiences and leads to peak performances is a function of two variables: meaning and performance. These two axes give us four quadrants and shows the pathway to self-actualization and the synergy of meaning-and-performance. Each of the axes also have been differentiated so that we can scale the degree and extent of each and so diagnose where a person is in the process of actualizing his or her highest and best. 4) The Meta-States Model. This model was added to the NLP model in 1994 as the International Association of NLP Trainers recognized it as the most significant contribution to NLP in 1994. Meta-States models the unique kind of consciousness that characterizes human beings—self-reflexive consciousness that reflects and builds layers upon layers of frames and states. 5 Benefits of the program You will gain insights, critical coaching skills, and a sense of how to make your approach truly systematic. 10 Friday evening – General Public French translation en français Opening keynote “Change Within Change” Lynn Robinson Sometimes a situation can happen in your life that stops you in your tracks. What are the other 40% doing; how can you can do the same? Stress is a natural reaction that isn’t always bad. It can motivate us to take action. However, when it is chronic, according to Stress Map Canada, it can cause backaches, migraines and substance abuse, all of which contributes to poor job performance. Chronic stress can also lead to hypertension, depression and susceptibility to other common physical illnesses. Stress is only one of things that detract from our overall happiness. Other things are emotional baggage from the past, something about ourselves that we don’t like, something or someone around us that bothers us, and either not knowing what we want or knowing but for some reason not believing we can get it. Happiness Works! has a proven program and a history of connecting people from all walks of life with their true and lasting happiness, so they awaken refreshed and energized, work purposefully and are connected with others during the day, and have the energy to look back with satisfaction over their days and plan ahead for an improving future. You will develop new techniques for focusing quickly and effectively, and for refocusing when you encounter challenges or opportunities. You will also find that the techniques you learn will be easy to foster in the people around you who need better focus. This workshop will both present an NLP-based model of focus and guide you through a process of modeling your own best focus.
