COURSE DESCRIPTION: Practical workshop to develop student’s capacity to deliver a
persuasive and professional presentation

Introduction programme and Objectives.
The 7 golden rules of effective presentations
Body language and paralinguistics
Adapting to audience, the use of inclusive language
Structure and choice of contents
Using Visual aids
Beginning and endings
Answering questions and overcoming stage fright
Videoed practice
COURSE METHODOLOGY
Interactive workshop where 80% of the time the participants will be practicing and
receiving feedback. Approx. 20% will be focused on models and theoretical content.
OBJECTIVES
After this course, the student should be able to:
 Speak in public and give presentations with self-confidence and poise
 Use body language and voice to maximize effect
 Deal with stage fright and deal with difficult questions persuasively
EVALUATION CRITERIA
100 %: participation.
