LES SUPERLATIFS :
Le superlatif sert à situer un élément (un objet, un animal, une personne..) dans un groupe. Il y a des superlatifs
de supériorité et d’infériorité.
Let’s buy the T-shirt, it’s the greatest souvenir! The keyring is the least
expensive but it’s too common and the snowglobe is the most useless.
[Achetons le T-shirt, c’est le souvenir le plus génial. Le porte clé est le moins
cher mais le plus ordinaire et la boule de neige est le plus inutile.]
REMEMBER : les superlatifs de supériorité ont 2 constructions possibles en fonction de l’adjectif utilisé !
L’adjectif est court : composé d’une seule syllabe ou de 2 terminé par : Y / ER / OW/ LE.
L’adjectif est long : composé de 2 syllabes ou plus.

MODIFICATIONS ORTHOGRAPHIQUES :
Les adjectifs terminés par « consonne voyelle consonne » doublent la consonne finale : big = the biggest
Les adjectifs terminés par « Y » font : funny = the funniest.
Les adjectifs terminés par « E » font : large = the largest.
