‘Nous les gars’: Les adolescent masculins et l’intimité sur Youtube

Comment les garçons problématisent-ils les questions liées à l’intimité, quelle soit corporelle
(puberté, pilosité, masturbation) ou relationnelle (sentimentalité, couple, amitié), à travers des
vidéocasts humoristiques postés sur Youtube ? Claire Balleys va présenter dans cette intervention
les premiers résultats d’une recherche postdoctorale en cours, sur la socialisation masculine et la
gestion de l’intimité à l’adolescence.

Sexuality and Twitter in the Lives of Adolescent Male Ice Hockey

The presentation will outline the results of a content analysis of the Twitter accounts of adolescent
male ice hockey players in Canada while looking specifically at how gender and sexuality are situated
within their self-presentations and interactions. The methodological challenges associated with nonobtrusive research on social media platforms will also be discussed in the context of a constantly
changing and developing digital culture.
