La rencontre – jamais vue auparavant
– d’une équipe d’interrogateurs canadiens avec un enfant détenu dans la
prison de Guantánamo. Basé sur les
sept heures d’enregistrement vidéo
déclassifiées par les tribunaux canadiens, ce documentaire rend compte de
l’intensité de l’interrogatoire, qui a duré
quatre jours. S’appuyant sur le procédé
d’un écran de surveillance, le film analyse les portées scientifiques, légales et
politiques d’un dialogue forcé.
This encounter between a team of Canadian intelligence agents and a child
detainee in Guantánamo has never before been seen. Based on seven hours
of video footage recently declassified
by the Canadian courts this documentary delves into the unfolding high-stakes
game of cat and mouse between captor and captive over a four day period.

Luc Côté
Luc Côté réalise et produit des films
depuis l’âge de 14 ans. Les 35 dernières
années, il les a passées à voyager aux
quatre coins du monde tout en faisant
des documentaires sociaux qui capturent l’esprit humain. Au début des
années 1980, il fonde sa première compagnie de production, On Track Video, à
New York. En 1986, il rejoint Robbie Hart à
Montréal et ensemble, ils font naître Les
Productions Adobe. Depuis, ils ont produit et réalisé plus de 30 films, incluant
2 séries documentaires récompensées
un peu partout : «Avoir 16 ans» et «Le feu
sacré». Récemment, il a travaillé comme
réalisateur pour d’autres compagnies. En
2005, il a ainsi réalisé «Opération Retour»
qui a été sélectionné par nombre de
festivals dans le monde et remporté plusieurs distinctions. Luc Côté enseigne à
la Chaire documentaire de l’École internationale de cinéma de Cuba.
Luc Côté has been directing and producing films since the age of fourteen. For
the past 35 years, he has traveled extensively around the world, making social
documentaries that capture the human
spirit. In the early eighties, he founded
his first production company in New
York, On Track Video. In 1986, he joined
Robbie Hart in Montreal and launched
Adobe Productions. Together, they produced and directed more than 30 films
including two award winning documentary series: «Turning 16» and «Rainmakers». Most recently, Luc Côté has been
directing films for other production companies. In 2005, he directed, «Crash Landing», a film about post-traumatic stress
disorder that was selected to be shown
in many festivals around the world and
won several awards. Along with his work
as a filmmaker, Luc teaches documentary film making at the International Film
School of Cuba.
Patricio Henriquez
Réalisateur de la télévision chilienne,
Patricio Henríquez s’installe à Montréal
à la suite du renversement du gouvernement Allende en 1973. Il réalise au Liban
un premier film, «Yasser Arafat» et «les
Palestiniens» (1980), avant de signer
au Québec de nombreux reportages
pour la télévision entre 1981 et 1993. En
1996, il cofonde la maison de production
Macumba International. Depuis, Patricio Henríquez a obtenu une soixantaine
de distinctions partout dans le monde,
notamment le Grand Prix de la SCAM
(Paris, 1998) pour 11 septembre 1973, «le
dernier combat de Salvador Allende»,
film également primé à Cuba, aux ÉtatsUnis, en Argentine et en Inde.
Patricio Henríquez worked as a director
for Chilean television before moving to
Montreal in 1974 after the overthrow of
the Salvador Allende government. He
directed his first film, «Yasser Arafat»
et «les Palestiniens» (1980), in Lebanon
before working for television in Quebec,
where he made numerous international
reports between 1981 and 1993. In 1996,
he co-founded the production company
Macumba International. Henríquez has
won over 60 awards around the world,
including the 1998 Grand Prix for best television documentary in France awarded
by the Société civile des auteurs multimédia in Paris for «The Last Stand of
Salvador Allende».
