To Assemble Globe:
Pour Assembler Le Globe :
1 - Place the wood base (a) on a
flat surface. Set the metal
stand (b) over the hole of the
wood base.

sur le trou du socle de bois.

2 - The rod at the end of the
axis (c) fits into the metal
stand and wood base. Screw
the axis rod down until tight.

3 - Slide one polecap (d) down
the axis until it touches the
arm of the axis. Slide one
metal pin (e), large end first,
down the axis until it touches
the metal polecap.
4 - Fit the “South Pole” of the
globe (f) down over the metal
pin at the bottom end of the
axis.

5 - Slide 2nd pin (e) into the
“North Pole” of the globe.
Slide 2nd polecap (d) down
the axis so that it is over the
2nd pin. Screw finial (g) on
top of axis.
2 -La tige du support de l'axe métallique (c)
traverse le support métallique et le socle
de bois. Vissez l'axe jusqu'à serrage
complet.
3 -Faites glisser une capsule métallique
polaire (d) sur l'axe métallique jusqu'au
bras inférieur. Faites glisser une bague
métallique (e), face large vers le bas,
jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit au contact de la
capsule polaire.
4 -Faites glisser le globe (f) sur l’axe pour
que le "Pôle Sud" vienne recouvrir la
bague métallique à la partie inférieure de
l'axe.
5 - Faites glisser la seconde bague métallique
(e) dans le "Pôle Nord" du globe. Faites
glisser la seconde capsule polaire (d) sur
l'axe pour qu'elle vienne au contact de la
bague métallique. Vissez l'écrou décoratif
borgne (g) à l'extrémité supérieure de
l'axe.

1 - Stellen Sie den Holzfuß (a) auf einen
ebenen Untergrund. Justieren Sie den
Metall-Ständer (b) deckungsgleich über
dem Loch des Holzfußes.
2 - Der Gewindestift am Ende der MetallAchse (c) paßt in den Metall-Ständer und
den Holzfuß. Drehen Sie die Achse in den
Holzfuß, bis sie fest ist.
3 - Lassen Sie zunächst eine Metall-Polkappe
(d) und dann eine Metall-Hülse (e) [mit
dem Hülsenring voran] bis ans untere Ende
der Achse heruntergleiten.
4 - Setzen Sie den Globus (f) mit dem
„Südpol“ voran auf die Metall-Achse, so
daß der Globus unten in die Metall-Hülse
gleitet.
5 - Stecken Sie die zweite Metall-Hülse (e)
[Hülsenring oben] und dann die zweite
Polkappe (d) auf die am „Nordpol“ des
Globus herausragende Achse. Setzen Sie
die Hutmutter (g) auf das obere Ende der
Achse und drehen sie fest.
