Barcelona, 2-5 March 2015 Orange innovation centred around our customers – at work, at home and on the move Mobile World Congress 2015 Hall 5 Stand 5A61 The 2015 Mobile World Congress is set to draw over 85,000 senior mobile professionals and Orange will be in Barcelona to demonstrate how the group’s innovation strategy is shifting and driving customer experiences everywhere. This year, Orange will be showcasing a number of innovations, all designed to ease and simplify everyone’s connected and increasingly digital lives. All of these demos can be seen on the Orange stand (Hall 5 Stand 5A61). Orange Klif Launched exclusively by Orange at this year’s show, the Orange Klif smartphone features the latest Firefox OS 2.0, ample screen size with its 3.5” HVGA screen and 2 mega pixel camera. With its 1300mAh battery offering 810 hours of standby, the smartphone also provides a reliable companion when on the move. The device will be the first dual-core Mediatek chipset running Firefox OS, ensuring no compromise on performance. Other features include: Dual-SIM, Radio and Torch. The Orange Klif, will be the first Firefox smartphone to address a new market segment that has previously found access to the mobile internet unaffordable. It will be launched in each participating Orange market across Africa and the Middle East. It will be bundled in an all-inclusive digital offer from Q2 in thirteen of Orange’s markets in the region, including, but not limited to, Egypt, Senegal, Tunisia, Cameroon, Botswana, Madagascar, Mali, The Ivory Coast, Jordan, Niger, Kenya, Mauritius and Vanuatu. ‘Live’ 4G+ demonstrations (delivering data mobile transmission speeds between 300 to 400 Mbps) On Tuesday, 3 March at 11.30am, Orange will deliver a pioneering mobile network experience and show, for the first time in Spain, a demonstration of 4G + technology that will deliver data mobile transmission speeds between 300 to 400 Mbps, the fastest speeds ever demonstrated in Spain. Orange will use "LTE Advanced" technology, which allows the aggregation of three radio signals with different frequencies. During the test, we will use the whole bandwidth of assigned frequencies to mobile operators, based on the Digital Dividend (800 MHz). Although these frequencies are not available for use yet, Orange has received special permission from the General Direction of Telecommunications and Information Society to demonstrate its capabilities in this area. Reach me – the latest Libon innovation Libon, the all-in-one communication app for iOS and Android today announces the pre-view of a new feature aimed at enhancing the customer voice experience on mobile. The ‘Reach Me’ feature allows Android Libon customers to receive and place calls, using their mobile number when on WiFi, guaranteeing reliable, highquality voice calls when out of range of the mobile network, for example, when at home or in the office. The new Reach Me feature joins a suite of advanced communications options available to customers including personalised greetings on voicemail for individuals or groups, free high-quality Libon-to-Libon voice calling, rich instant messaging and competitive voice minutes for calling national and international destinations. Libon also pulls together all communication for each contact, whether it is a call, message or voicemail in one place, providing a useful at-a-glance summary of all recent contact with friends and family. Car-WiFi th The new Car-WiFi, launched in Spain on February 16 ,is an innovative 4G WiFi router that will revolutionise the automotive connectivity market. With Car-WiFi, Orange and Huawei are providing a new solution for customers who want to have a WiFi connection in their vehicles. The Car-WiFi is a new 4G WiFi router specifically designed for the automotive connectivity, and enables customers to connect up to 10 different devices or terminals within one vehicle. Connectivity is enabled by the simple push of a button. Car-WiFi plugs into the vehicle’s 12 volt accessory socket, and has an in-built USB adapter to charge a smartphone or tablet. It is LTE Category 4 to ensure fast and reliable connection, reaching upload / download speeds of up to 150 Mbps. With dimensions of 59 × 49 × 88 mm, 50 grams, Car-WiFi can be configured from a smartphone or tablet. TV Stick TV Stick only requires a smartphone, an HDMI TV and a broadband connection to enable you to grab all of your mobile content to watch on a TV, whether you are at home or away. The Orange TV Stick enables you to beam all of your favourite content, such as live TV, video-on-demand, catch-up TV, photographs or personal videos, directly to a TV. HomeLive HomeLive is a single solution to connect and control connected devices in the home remotely, ranging from light switches and smoke detectors to motion/noise sensors and other home services. HomeLive enables the management of these connected devices, centralising the commands and parameters, to allow access from a smartphone or tablet with the ability to set custom alerts. Customers can also easily design their own scenarios, such as switching on the lights when the door opens. Future developments of HomeLive will also integrate services and connected objects, such as weather stations or thermostats) which Orange is developing through open innovation with partners. Ub-Y With Ub-y, Orange brings you an unprecedented telepresence experience. This product has been designed using “beam” technology in collaboration with Suitable Technologies and Awabot, a French start-up. This tool allows you to appear instantly at a remote site, to move around it and see and hear as if you were there. For companies, it will be helpful for saving time and money. For consumers, it enables people to be connected to their home through a software available on computers, smartphones or tablets. Orange Finanse Orange Finanse is a mobile banking service launched in Poland in October 2014. It is a mobile app that customers can download, enabling them to access a complete range of banking services from their smartphone. Orange Finanse provides access to services such as current and savings accounts, money transfers, NFC and online payments, mobile-enabled ATM withdrawals. Customers can also enjoy discounts, promotions and dedicated offers from merchants when they pay with their mobiles. Orange Partner Orange Partner works specifically with developers, partners and start-ups to share knowledge and expertise. Orange Partner offers a free and simple self-service catalogue of APIs to developers to extend the use of Orange services in 3rd party applications. Orange Partner will be at MWC to share use cases of the current publicly available APIs, including Orange Cloud, Identity and User Details. Afrimarket Orange raised funds for the development of Afrimarket, the first money transfer of ‘cash to goods’ service, enabling African migrants abroad to cover their family expenditure back home for expenses for food, health, and schools through a network of partners’ point of sales. The service offers security and peace of mind. African diasporas will be able to send money from Afrimarket’s website to an Orange Money mobile phone in Africa. Once the money is sent, the recipient receives an SMS immediately informing him that he can go and get the goods at a selected point of sales. In 2015, a mobile version of this service will be available and exclusively launched for Orange Money clients in France. Orange Money clients in France will have the choice of doing simple money transfers from their mobile, either as ‘cash to cash’ or ‘cash to goods’. The service will be first launched between France and Senegal, Mali and Ivory Coast. Orange Mobile Connect Orange Mobile Connect is an authentication solution designed to enable customers to use their mobile phone as a key to easily and securely log onto any digital service, regardless of the device or network connection used. The solution is based on a highly-secure platform that uses the SIM card – which is already recognised for its inherent security - to validate entry into secure digital services. Homepoint Designed by Orange, Homepoint gives you access to photos, videos, music and any other material stored on your smartphone, tablet or PC. When connected, you can use its app to look through the contents of USB sticks, memory cards or hard drives, creating a sharing platform for the whole family. Homepoint is a user-friendly, all-in-one domestic hub, allowing you to: Stream music from your smartphone to your stereo system Give guests easy access to your Wi-Fi Charge your devices (via USB or induction) Orange Datavenue Datavenue is an Orange open innovation platform dedicated to gathering, storing, combining and securing data for the use of service providers and manufacturers of connected objects. Today, it is available as a beta test for developers. Datavenue offers a range of solutions including: A scalable and secure solution for collecting and storing data from connected objects of IoT manufacturers and developers, helping them to build their new services A privacy-respecting, secured service to support consumers to manage their connected objects and data A data-powered ecosystem to foster the development of innovative services based on data crossfertilisation Orange Roya The Orange Roya is one of the latest in a range a range of 4G smartphones designed by Orange. The device features an impressive 4.5” FWVGA display running Android 4.4 and its powerful Qualcomm quad-core chipset 1.2GHz packs a punch for a device of its size. The Orange Roya is equipped with two cameras: 5 megapixel rear, and 0.3 megapixel front and comes with 8GB storage and 1GB RAM and is HD Voice compatible. For our AMEA markets, Orange is simplifying the content discovery experience by providing the Orange Live Homescreen, which uses a dynamic User Interface to bring together all relevant content such as news, entertainment and lifestyle in one place, easing content notification and selection for the customer. The Orange Roya was the first device in the Orange Branded range that launched simultaneously in EU and across multiple AMEA markets. Orange Nura The Orange Nura smartphone is designed by Orange for smartphone lovers who want a large screen and an amazing autonomy provided by its 3100mAh battery. It has the largest screen on the market sold under the Orange brand. It is our first joint development with China Mobile running Android 4.4. With its large IPS HD 5"5 screen it allows users to enjoy a great viewing experience, browse the internet and watch all their favourite videos on the big screen. The Orange Nura is equipped with two cameras: a rear 8 Megapixel and a 5 megapixel on the front, ideal for exceptional selfies! This is the first Orange 4G smartphone crossing the TD and FDD frequency bands. It enables our customers to enjoy mobile broadband based on LTE Category 4, reaching speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Mobile HD voice is another key feature of the device. Orange Nura is exclusive to Orange and launched in Spain and France in Q3’14. It has been awarded ‘best mobile operator handset at less than 200 euros’ in France by O1Net magazine. Both the Orange Roya and Orange Nura, like all of the Orange branded devices, are also packed with familiar features by Orange that are designed to make the phone straightforward to use and easy to set up, especially for those new to the smartphone experience. These include: Orange Home screen with standard and easy modes. Introduced in 2013, easy mode has proven to be popular with first time users of smartphones, delivering a straightforward interface designed for customers to get the maximum out of their smartphone Orange Gestures familiar to existing Orange smartphone customers, the feature allows customers to draw natural and intuitive gestures on their home screen to quickly access their favourite contacts, applications, and services Orange Assistant takes customers through the initial set up of their smartphone with helpful tutorials, hints and tips that are accessible at any point Orange Updates enables easy access to update Orange’s services such as Orange Wednesday’s and Orange TV for example. It also informs customers about the latest Orange applications without the need to go into the operating system’s own app store to discover them Orange and Cellrox show Mobile Virtualisation demo Orange and Cellrox will provide a live demonstration of a new mobile marketplace, demonstrating use cases that vary from mobile wallet and corporate identity to highly secured operating environments.
