Lesson 28 – Grand-mère Denise
In this lesson you will learn how to tell a simple story in French.
The story of Grand-mère Denise tells the story of the longest scarf in the world. As long as
you know the colours and the days of the week, and have practised the repeated elements
of the story, you’ll be able to tell the story to your class with confidence.

Grand-mère Denise
Grand-mère Denise tricote une écharpe.
Lundi, elle tricote avec de la laine rouge.
Mardi, elle tricote avec de la laine jaune.
Grandma Denise knits a scarf.
On Monday, she knits with some red wool.
On Tuesday, she knits with some yellow
wool.
Mercredi, elle tricote avec de la laine bleue. On Wednesday, she knits with some blue
wool.
Jeudi, elle tricote avec de la laine verte.
On Thursday, she knits with some green
wool.
Vendredi, elle tricote avec de la laine noire.
On Friday, she knits with some black wool.
