Cameras for Demanding Industrial Vision Applications
Capture 1.3 Megapixel Images at 500 frames/sec
With the new HX camera family, Baumer expands its product
range of sophisticated digital cameras. These high-speed
CMOS cameras combine extremely high frame rates up to 500
fps with over 1.3 megapixel of resolution at 1280 x 1024 pixels.
Hyper frame rates of up to 120,000 fps are achievable by
restricting the image data to one, two or three regions of interest
(ROI) within the full frame. These cameras are designed for ultra
fast machine vision applications such as semiconductor quality
and process control or analysis of fast processes in industrial
applications. Available in monochrome or color, these cameras
are compatible with C-Mount or F-Mount optical accessories. By
supporting the CameraLink communication standard,
guaranteed data transfer rates of up to 680 MByte/sec. are
available for high speed applications.
Enhanced Sensitivity and High Dynamic Range
The HX family provides an exceptionally high photo sensitivity of 2500 ASA. Thus, high speed inspection is now possible even for
low-light environments. In many cases, supplemental lighting is not needed and costs for applications can be reduced. To image
high dynamic range scenes containing very dark and very bright objects, the linear response of the CMOS sensor is not the best
choice. Therefore, the cameras offer an ad-justment option which resembles the non-linear dynamic response of the human eye.
Multi Exposure Capability for Changing Lighting Conditions
Camera operation in outdoor environments can be challenging since lighting can vary dramatically over a 24 hour day. The HX
camera family is equipped with multi exposure capability to compensate for this difficulty. This feature enables enhanced images
with up to 7 accumulated exposure times. For each exposure, a cor-responding image is available.
