The work shall be carried out in addition to existing civilian developments and address the specificities of the military environment Main technological priorities for 2016 NRBC risks: Risk analysis and modeling -knowledge and characterization of RBC agents -risk modeling, simulation and prediction Alert, detection, identification -multiplex, fast, sensitive, specific and portable technologies: integrated, miniaturized in-field systems; innovative miniaturized DNA sequencing technologies - collection, conservation and preparation of complex samples -identification and characterization of emerging agents -room-temperature conservation of biological materials and reagents Protection, decontamination -m ild decontamination (phages, synthetic biology, nanoparticles, physical techniques…) -control/modeling of physico-chemical, toxic- filtering media interaction mechanisms Forensic microbiology to attribute an event to a source -high-throughput sequencing applied to analysis of DNA traces -analysis of chemical agent and toxin traces from clinical and/ or environmental samples Medical countermeasures -early diagnosis (exposure biomarkers) -infectious risk (new classes of broad-spectrum antimicrobials) -prevention and treatment of organophosphorous nerve agent poisoning (long-term neurological sequelae) -In-field radiological dosimetry -Physiology and treatment of chemical burns (Ypérite) Health of soldiers in operation: Tissue and bone repair (cell engineering/therapy) Defence activities-related toxicology Extreme emergency medicine (hemorrhagic shock, oxygenation, total blood transfusion)
