The instru ments of acceptance were deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations on the dates indicated hereafter: Les Amendements sont entrés en vigueur pour tous les membres de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé le 11 juillet 1994, date à laquelle ils avaient été acceptés par les deux tiers des Etats membres de l'Organisation, conformément à l'article 73 de la Constitu tion. The text of the Amendments reads as follows: Le texte des Amendements est libellé comme suit : Vol. 1788, A-221 376 United Nations — Treaty Series • Nations Unies — Recueil des Traités 1994 AMENDMENTS TO ARTICLES 24 AND 25 OF THE CONSTITUTION Article 24 The Board shall consist of thirty-two persons designated by me any Members. The Health Assembly, taking into account an equitable geographical distribution, shall elect the amber» entitled to designate a person to serve on the Board, provided that, of such Members, cot less than three shall be elected from each of the regional organizations established pursuant to Article 44. Each of these Members should appoint to the Board a person technically qualified in the field of health, vho may be acconpanied by alternates and advisers. Article 25 These Members shall be elected for three years and may be re~«lectcd, provided that of the members elected at the first session of the Health Assembly held after the cooing into force of the amendent to this Constitution increasing the membership of the Board froa thirty-one to thirty-two the term of office of the additional Member elected shall, Insofar as may be necessary, be of such lesser duration as shall facilitate the election of at least one Member from each regional organization in each year."
