Abstract
Modern presses with servo drives offer the possibility of making the motion paths of ram and drawing
cushion variable with a high amount of accuracy. Thus, local component properties can be influenced or
limits of forming can be extended. Because of the various options of adjustment, users face new
challenges in the design of metal forming processes. Regarding servo-spindle presses, for example,
vibrations with variable amplitudes and frequencies can be superimposed during the deep-drawing
process. The variable motion path of ram and cushion increases significantly the depth of drawing. For
the analysis of process parameters and their influence in regard to drawing results, sensitivity analyzes
are conducted based on advanced forming simulations and calculated meta models are evaluated.
