 Dear all, it took a while. Our sangha meeting in July already seems light years away. We would have loved to share our news with you much earlier but things needed to un-­‐ fold and also the summer holidays were a challenge to scheduling meetings. But now we are optimistic that things will start to speed up. As mentioned during the sangha meeting the workload of the SI Board members was rather high. Rinpoche therefore suggested that the SI Board should be extend-­‐ ed. Roland and Doris were asked by Rinpoche to make suggestions and at the end of July presented their candidates. Rinpoche approved all three nominees. Which me-­‐
ans now the SI Board consists of six people: •

Martina will no longer be a member of the board. We would like to thank her very much for years of great work for SI and for the fulfilment of Rinpoche’s wishes. This puts it best: Martina, you rock(ed)!! We six board members have all met for the first time on September 19 to decide about board structure and responsibilities. Still all our additional suggestions and ideas need some more time to ripen and then need to be approved by Rinpoche be-­‐ fore we could share them with you. So please be patient, we will publish additional details as soon as we have them. Nevertheless we are already trying to get the large projects and tasks started. Espe-­‐ cially the sangha website, where news can be published, exchange can take place, projects can be handled etc. has a high priority. If you are feeling tempted to support us with this please feel welcome to write us an email ([email protected]). Details about the activities offered in the center can be found in the monthly sched-­‐ ule. Of course we continue to encourage people who would like to help with tasks regarding the center or who know potential guest groups (Buddhist groups looking for a space for an event or a regular activity) to get in touch with us ([email protected] for tasks and activities and [email protected] for guest groups). We are also aiming to update and clean up our mailing list. So in case you do receive this mail several times because we have several email addresses of you in our data-­‐ base, please let us know which one to use from now on. Or if your sangha friend do-­‐
esn’t receive our mails, please tell him/her to get in touch with us ([email protected]). Or if we are boring you to death and you would simp-­‐ ly like to get rid of us – our hearts would bleed but of course we would let you go – please simply reply to this email stating UNSUBCRIBE in the title. For general requests or suggestions the board has a new email address ([email protected]) to get in touch with us. You could of course also continue to contact the board member of your choice, if you prefer. Your concerns will reach us either way. We do look forward hearing from you. Arne, Hanna, Roland, Gregory, Werner, Simone Ihr Lieben, es hat etwas länger gedauert. Seit unserem Sangha-­‐Treffen sind inzwischen Monate ins Land gegangen. Wir hätten uns gern früher gemeldet, aber etliches brauchte et-­‐
was Zeit, um sich zu entfalten, und die Ferienzeit hat ein Übriges dazu getan. Wir sind aber optimistisch, dass es von jetzt an zügiger voran gehen wird. Wie bereits auf dem Sangha-­‐Treffen erwähnt wurde, war die Arbeitsbelastung der Vorstandsmitglieder recht hoch. Rinpoche hat deshalb vorgeschlagen, den Vorstand von Siddhartha’s Intent Europe zu erweitern. Roland und Doris wurden von Rinpo-­‐
che gebeten, Vorschläge zu machen und Ende Juli ihre Kandidaten zu präsentieren. Alle drei Vorgeschlagenen sind von Rinpoche akzeptiert worden. Das bedeutet, dass der SI Vorstand jetzt aus sechs Leuten besteht: •

Martina wird dem Vorstand daher nicht länger an-­‐
gehören. Wir möchten ihr an dieser Stelle ganz herzlich danken für viele Jahre toller Arbeit für SI und die Erfüllung von Rinpoches Wünschen. Das hier drückt es wohl am besten aus: Martina, you rock(ed)!! Wir sechs Vorstandsmitglieder haben uns am 19. September erstmals alle zusam-­‐ men getroffen und auf Strukturen und Verantwortlichkeiten innerhalb des Vor-­‐
stands geeinigt. Unsere sonstigen Ideen und Vorschläge müssen aber erst noch et-­‐
was reifen und dann von Rinpoche abgesegnet werden, ehe wir sie mit euch teilen können. Daher habt bitte Geduld mit uns. Wir werden weitere Details bekanntgeben, sobald wir sie haben. Unabhängig davon versuchen wir, die großen Projekte und Themen weiter voran-­‐ zubringen. Insbesondere die Sangha Website, als einen Platz für die Veröffentlichung von Neu-­‐
igkeiten, den Austausch, die Organisation von Projekte etc., hat eine hohe Prior-­‐ ität für uns. Wenn jemand Lust hat, uns dabei zu unterstützen, schickt uns bitte eine Mail ([email protected]). Genaueres zu den verschiedenen Angeboten im Zentrum erfahrt ihr in der monat-­‐ lichen Veranstaltungsübersicht. Natürlich sind wir auch weiterhin an tatkräftiger Unterstützung interessiert. Wenn ihr mithelfen möchtet oder aber mögliche Gast-­‐
veranstalter empfehlen möchte (Buddhistische Gruppen, die auf der Suche nach ei-­‐
nem Raum für einmalige oder regelmäßige Aktivitäten sind), nimmt bitte Kontakt mit uns auf ([email protected] für Mithilfe und [email protected] für Gastveranstalter). Ein weiteres Anliegen ist die Aktualisierung der Adressdatenbank. Wenn ihr diese Mail beispielsweise mehrfach erhaltet, weil wir mehr als eine Emailadresse von euch hinterlegt haben, lasst uns bitte wissen, welche Email wir in Zukunft ver-­‐ wen-­‐
den sollen. Oder wenn ihr von einem Sangha-­‐Mitglied wisst, dass keine Mails von uns erhält, sagt ihr/ihm bitte, sie/er möge sich kurz bei uns melden ([email protected]). Ihr könnt euch natürlich auch weiterhin an das Vorstandsmitglied eures Vertrauens wenden, wenn euch das lieber ist. Eure Anliegen kommen in jedem Fall bei uns an.
