Wer sind wir?
Die Formation wurde mit dem Namen „Uwe And His
Friends“ 1982 gegründet und als Rechenzentrumsband
der Erlanger UNI auf diversen Feiern bekannt. Trotz
wechselnder Besetzung spielen vier Gründungsmitglieder
seit über 20 Jahren zusammen und bieten als Just 4 Fun
ein vier stündiges Musikprogramm.
Der Musikstil bewegt sich zwischen Peter Green’s
Fleetwood Mac und Neil Young, Golden Earring und
Wishbone Ash, zwischen ZZ Top und Cream. Rock- und
Bluesklassiker aus der Flower Power Zeit sind hier
Vorbild. Die Bandbreite reicht von Keith Richards lastigen
Riffs bis hin zu Bluesstücken wie Red House.
Inspirationen aus der jüngeren Zeit liefern Bryan
Adams, Limp Bizkit und Lenny Kravitz, gitarrenorientierte
Blues- und Rockmusik.
Will man den Stil von Just 4 Fun beschreiben kommt
man an Begriffen wie Rhythm and Blues, Rock und dem
markanten Gitarrenspiel eines Jimi Hendrix (Voodoo Chile
- Slide Return) nicht vorbei.
50 Jahre Rockmusik bieten unabhängig von Modetrends
oder Hitparaden eine reiche Auswahl an guten Songs, die
es wert sind, gespielt zu werden. Dabei steht der Spaß an
ehrlicher und handgemachter Musik im Vordergrund ...

J4F - What It Is
Just 4 Fun is name and also synonym for attitude to
music. The enthusiasm for the music and the quality of
presentation are always the center of attention.
The band was founded as “Uwe And His Friends” in 1982
and was getting acquainted as band of the computing
center supporting a couple of parties at University of
Erlangen. In spite of personal changing four founding
members are playing now 25 years and giving as Just 4
Fun a concert of about 4 hours. Stylisticaly Just 4 Fun
rambles between Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac and Neil
Young, Golden Earring and Wishbone Ash, between ZZ
Top and Cream. Rock and blues classics from flower power
era set an example. Spectrum is running from Keith
Richards based riffs up to blues scores like Red House. A
newer source of inspirations gives e.g. Bryan Adams, Limp
Bizkit and Lenny Kravitz, guitar oriented blues and rock
music.
To phrase the style of Just 4 Fun words like rhythm and
blues, rock and the obvious guitar of Jimi Hendrix (Voodoo
Chile - Slide Return) should be mentioned.

The Voice, Uwe ist in
der Berliner Musikszene groß geworden,
hat in Studios
Gesangserfahrung
gesammelt und hat
seine 1Liebe zum
Schlagzeug wieder
entdeckt: ein Drummer
mit unglaublicher
Stimme.
Bühnenlicht ist vorhanden: Par 56 Lampen und
Dimmer. Mit dieser Bestückung kommen wir mit zwei
intakten 16A Sicherungen aus.
Für größere Beschallungen kann entsprechend
nachgerüstet werden.
