Lending: Project Information
A loan request has to be issued at least 90 days before the opening of the exhibition. For the handling of your loan request,
we need
•
the signed formal loan request
•
a summary of the exhibition concept
•
project information according to the form below (Loan Form)
•
the list of objects with inventory numbers (Form “Object List”, see below)
•
a Facility Report (Form „Technical Information“)
The request will be verified by the directorate and the responsible people within Basel Historical Museum and then approved
(or declined) by the Commission of Basel Historical Museum.

Transportation and Insurance
The transport of the loan(s) is to be handled by a transport agent specialized in art transport using special vehicals or a
courier authorised by the lender.
Designated mode of transport
The lender will arrange the insurance of the objects.
The applicant acknowledges that he will be charged for any expenses incurred in the event of a withdrawal of the loan
request.
