Pop into Berlin: Where, When, and Who
The “Pop into Berlin” Concept
“Pop into Berlin” is a new initiative of visitBerlin in cooperation with Berlin Partner for Business
and Technology: Pop-up stores will open in five European cities (Stockholm, London, Paris,
Vienna, Amsterdam) starting in September to market Berlin as creative, innovative and liveable
metropolis. The stores will open for one week each in top inner-city locations and visitors will be
invited to learn about Berlin and catch some of its innovative and entrepreneurial spirit.
People across Europe and visitors to those cities will get to experience the creative potential of
Berlin and its many residents who work in the fields of design, fashion, furniture, food, lifestyle
and technology. Berlin will be promoted both as a tourist destination and as an exciting location
for high-tech and start-up businesses.

organiser of the pop-up stores designed to showcase Berlin’s creativity with a wide portfolio of
innovative products and brands in the fields of design, fashion, furniture, food and lifestyle
made in the city.

Details and Press Contacts for the 20 Berlin Labels and Start-Ups
 3YOURMIND www.3yd.de
3YOURMIND is typically Berlin. The company is one of many ventures that have emerged out of
Berlin's prominent Technische Universität (TU). The idea behind the startup is a new software
program that prepares digital 3D data in a way that enables a three-dimensional model to be
printed out directly. Until now, this process often required hours of manual reworking of the 3D
data. What's most interesting for architects, product designers and many others is that they can
now throw away all their papier-mâché and glue. To print their models, all they have to do is
choose a suitable print service provider on the "3D-button.com" portal recently launched by
3YOURMIND. This makes 3D printing as easy as a click of your mouse!
At the pop-up store: A 3D printer will print out Berlin landmarks, such as the TV Tower and the
Brandenburg Gate, for visitors to take home, and the founders will take us along on a virtual
journey through their success story.
Where in Berlin? 3YOURMIND is at home in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

 Berliner Winter www.berlinersommer.de / www.berlinerwinter.de
The original Berlin idea of a new hot drink made of vodka, unfiltered apple juice and special
spices came about purely by chance. The recipe and the name were born on an icy winter’s
night in Kreuzberg. What started out as a remedy for the freezing cold of a Berlin winter,
became the basis for the company founded by Benjamin Fischer who decided that “Berliner
Winter” was the perfect name for his newly invented drink that keeps you nice and warm and
tastes great to boot.
Where in Berlin? The idea for Berliner Winter comes from Kreuzberg; it can now be purchased

 BigRep bigrep.com
The world's largest standard available 3D printer comes from, you guessed it, Berlin. With a
volume of more than one cubic meter, the BigRep ONE.2 is further proof that Berlin continues to
be a city of superlatives in so many ways. The manufacturer is BigRep, a startup founded in 2014
and today already the market and tech leader in the field of serial 3D printing. The young
company has already come close to achieving its ambitious goal of initiating a paradigm shift in
design, prototyping and industrial production. Indeed, BigRep ONE.2 is successfully closing the
gap between 3D printers in model and industrial format.
At the pop-up store: The printing process will be showcased on-screen, plus there will be an
online contest. Participants will be invited to submit Berlin-related printing ideas. The winning
design will be made by BigRep.

Berlin. With BRLO, their new Berlin craft beer label, they focus on sustainability, working only
with selected suppliers of ingredients, and only using organically grown malt. In addition, they
make a fixed charitable donation for each bottle sold.
