Idole Indienne 2015 Concours de chansons The singing competition will be conducted in three rounds: Round 1 (Qualifying Round) at the city level Round 2 (Semi-Finals) at the city level Round 3 (Finals*) at the national level. *The national Finals (Round 3) will be held on Saturday 21st November 2015 in Bangalore. Categories Category I: Students**below 18 years of age Category II: Students** above 18 years of age **All contestants for Categories I & II should be bonafide students of French in a school/college/Alliance Française/private language institution/university in India. Terms and Conditions Round 1 (Qualifying Round): Participants can select any song from the given list Contestants shall not change the lyrics or add lines in English or any other language. There will be no theatrics All songs will be solo Contestants shall not consult the lyrics while singing Round 1 will be conducted without any music or karaoke Round 1 will be conducted on…………………… Round 2 (Semi-finals) Winners of round 1 will have to prepare any 3 songs from the list of 30 preselected songs. Participant will have to sing one of the 3 songs in its totality All songs will be solo Contestants shall not consult the lyrics while singing Contestants shall not change the lyrics or add lines in English or any other language. There will be no theatrics For Round 2 participants should bring their karaoke version of selected songs on CD/DVD with their name and the name of the song(s) on the jacket on the day of the competition The CD/DVD should be handed over to the organizers before the competition starts. Finalists of Round 2 (first place only, for each category) will participate in the National Finals to be held at Bangalore. If the finalist is unable to travel to Bangalore for the finals, the first runnerup of the respective category will be sent in his/her place. Round 2 will be conducted on: 24 October 2015 Page 1 of 4 Round 3 (National Finals) Winners of round 2 will have to prepare any 3 songs from the list of 30 preselected songs. The jury will decide which one of these 3 songs they would like the contestant to sing. Participant will have to sing the complete song All songs will be solo Contestants shall not consult the lyrics while singing Contestants shall not change the lyrics or add lines in English or any other language. There will be no theatrics For Round 3 participants should bring their karaoke version of selected songs on CD/DVD with their name and the name of the song(s) on the jacket on the day of the competition The CD/DVD should be handed over to the organizers before the competition starts The IATF –Central Zone will provide local hospitality for one day & one night in Bangalore (details will be communicated later) The Finalists are expected to carry their proof of identity to Bangalore and will be expected to produce it on demand. Participants without a valid proof of identity will not be considered. Round 3 will be held on Saturday 21st November 2015 in Bangalore. Criteria for judging During the competition, participants will be judged on the following parameters: 1. Voice: quality & tone 2. Pronunciation: enunciation & clarity 3. Timing: pace & synchronization with music 4. Overall impact: confidence, stage presence, audience appeal, mastery of lyrics and presentation of self, singer and song (1-2 minutes only, in French) Participation Fee: For registration INR 200 per participant be paid in cash. Certificates All participants will be awarded a Certificate of participation by the IATF Prizes The 3 best contestants of each category in the Semi Final Round at ………………. and Final Round in Bangalore will win attractive prizes. How to participate in the competition: Interested participants should do the following to participate: To participate it is mandatory to fill the form on the link http://goo.gl/forms/HdIoL9eQc2 Please send the entries by 15th September 2015. In case of school students, the French teachers should ensure that all students have filled the form. No entry will be valid on the day of competition without filling the form. 2. Venue of Round 1 will be shared with the participants. 1. Page 2 of 4 Note for teachers: Teachers should use this opportunity to use the chosen songs in class: For the pleasure of listening, singing, as an activity using the text or the video clip to teach/illustrate vocabulary/grammar/a socio-cultural aspect. Teachers are invited to prepare a “Fiche Pédagogique” for one of the songs, use the activity elaborated in the fiche and make a short video to show how it was used.
