Handbuch für die Errichtung von Warnanlagen Methoden und Verfahren Wildbachsperrenklassifikation und Datenbank Modellversuche und Vergleich mit Feldaufnahmen Auftraggeber: Definition von Schwellenwerten anhand von European Commission Ereignisdaten Ergebnisse Adresse: Grundlagen zur Planung von technischen Brussels Schutzmaßnahmen und Warnsystemen Center for Natural Hazards and Risk Management Universität für Bodenkultur Wien Gregor Mendelstrasse 33 A-1180 Vienna E-mail: [email protected] Web: http://Zenar.boku.ac.at THARMIT Torrent Hazard Control in the European Alps: Practical Tools and Methodologies for Hazard Assessment and Risk Mitigation WP 6: Technical countermeasures and warning systems The objective of this study is to summarize the experience of technical countermeasures and warning systems and to improve structural design and effectiveness by event analysis, field survey and lab experiments. Projectdescription Customer: European Commission Address: Brussels Problem Technical countermeasures to protect densely populated regions in the Alps were developed with different success Due to lack of experience warning systems as a new and cheap type of risk reduction are not used Objektives Presentation of technical countermeasures Operation scheme and emergency plan for the application of warning systems Methods and Techniques Checkdam classification and database Lab experiments and field survey Definition of warning thresholds derived from eventrecords Results Bases for planning of technical countermeasures and warning systems
