Israël
Le cinéma israélien est très bien structuré. Le haut niveau de soutien public et la
diversité des fonds disponibles ont un effet très positif sur l’industrie locale. Les auteurs
israéliens comme Amos Gitai ont acquis une très bonne réputation dans les circuits
internationaux ce qui facilite grandement la coproduction de leurs projets.
Malgré la situation politico-militaire actuelle, et malgré un prix du billet relativement
élevé, les secteurs de la distribution et de l’exploitation se portent assez bien en
comparaison des autres pays de la région.
Le cinéma israélien a donc des priorités assez différentes de ses voisins. Selon l’Israel
Film Fund, celles-ci sont de « développer et d’augmenter les productions locales pour le
petit et le grand écran, d’étendre et d’élargir le public des films israéliens en Israël et
dans le monde, de se préparer aux changements du cinéma numérique. »
The Israeli cinema is very well structured. The high level of public support and the
diversity of support schemes have a very positive effect on the local industry. The Israeli
authors like Amos Gitai have made a name of themselves on the international scene,
which facilitates a great deal the coproduction of their projects.
In spite of the politico-military situation and in spite of the quite high price of the cinema
ticket, the sectors of distribution and exhibition are doing quite good in comparison with
the other countries of the region.
Therefore the Israeli cinema industry has quite different priorities than its neighbours.
According to the Israel Film Fund, these are “to develop and increase local productions
both on the big screen and on TV, to expand and broaden audiences in Israel and
worldwide for Israeli movies, to be ready for the changes of digital cinema.”

L’investissement global des pays étrangers est d’environ 2 à 3 millions USD par an. Le
gouvernement israélien a signé des traités de coproduction avec les pays suivants :
Allemagne, Australie, Belgique, Canada, France, Hongrie, Italie, Pologne, Suède
The total investment from foreign countries is about $2 – 3 million dollars a year. The
government of Israel has signed co production treaties with the following countries:
Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Poland, Canada, Australia and Hungary.
