Terminmarkt – Bereitstellung eines Simulations-Hotfixes für Eurex Release 6.0
Aufgrund eines Fehlers in den Release 6.0 Simulations-Kits lässt sich die neue Broadcast-SplitFunktionalität derzeit nicht nutzen, da sich grundsätzlich nur die Broadcast-Gruppe Z selektieren
lässt.
Dieser Fehler wird mit dem Hotfix, der heute Abend nach Handelsschluss via File-Transfer auf Ihre
Simulations-Reportknoten übertragen wird, behoben. Der Hotfix ist nur auf den MISSen zu installieren, Workstations sind hiervon nicht betroffen.
Um sicherzustellen, dass trotz dieses Fehlers sämtliche Preisinformationen erhalten werden können, haben wir temporär die Zuordnung zu den Broadcast-Gruppen A bis G aufgehoben; alle Produkte sind der Produkt-Gruppe Z zugeordnet. Die in der Anlage beschriebene Aufteilung der
Broadcast-Gruppen wird zum 13. September wieder hergestellt werden.
Teilnehmer, die bis zu diesem Termin nicht den Hotfix installiert haben, können dann nur noch
Broadcasts für die Produkte der Gruppe Z empfangen.
Wir möchten Sie bereits an dieser Stelle darauf hinweisen, dass für den 20. September 2002 ein
planmäßiger Software-Update für die Release 6.0 Simulation vorgesehen ist. Dieser SoftwareUpdate wird natürlich ebenfalls das geschilderte Problem beheben.

Am Mittwoch, den 11. September 2002, wird die Eurex einen Simulations-Hotfix für Eurex Release
6.0 per Filetransfer an die jeweilige simulationsspezifische Umgebung aller Teilnehmer verschicken.
Zielverzeichnisse und Speicherplatzbedarf für die Datenübermittlung (Simulationsumgebung):

Der Hotfix ist ausschließlich auf MISSen zu installieren; Workstations sind nicht betroffen.
Alle weiteren FTP Übertragungen der entsprechenden Datei, z. B. von der Report MISS an
eine andere Simulations- MISS, müssen binär erfolgen.
Bitte leiten Sie dieses Rundschreiben an Ihren System-Administrator weiter, damit nicht mehr benötigte Daten (z.B. Software-Kits, Theoretical Price Files, Reports) in dem Verzeichnis gelöscht
werden, bevor die Software übertragen wird.
Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass die Simulations-Umgebung am Mittwoch, 11. September 2002, ab
22:00 Uhr MEZ mit dem Eurex-Netzwerk verbunden ist.
Erst mit Einspielen des Hotfixes (Eurex Broadcast Server) auf alle Eurex 6.0 Simulations- MISSen
sind die Voraussetzungen geschaffen, den neu eingeführten Broadcast Split zu nutzen. Der Hotfix
sollte bis spätestens Freitag, 13.09.2002 auf allen Eurex Release 6.0 Simulations- MISSen eingespielt werden, da ab dem 13.09.2002 die Simulations-Produkte den Broadcast Gruppen zugeteilt
werden, entsprechend der beigefügten Tabelle.
Sollte der Hotfix nicht bis zum 13. September 2002 auf allen Eurex Release 6.0 Simulations
MISSen installiert worden sein, können für alle Produkte der Broadcast Gruppen A-G keine
Broadcasts mehr empfangen werden.

Installationsanweisung:
Für die Behebung des oben beschriebenen Problems in Eurex 6.0 Simulation tauschen Sie bitte
die Datei “eurexbcsrv” gegen die aktuelle Version auf Ihren MISSen wie folgt aus:
1. Bitte erstellen Sie vor dem Einspielen der Datei eine Sicherungskopie der bestehenden
Version von “eurexbcsrv” an, damit Sie beim Auftreten von unerwarteten Problemen mit der
aktualisierten Datei die bisherige Version wieder herstellen können.

2. Um den Fix in Eurex 6.0 Simulation einzuspielen, tauschen Sie bitte unter Solaris bzw.
Windows 2000 die Datei

To ensure that this error does not affect all price data, we have temporarily suspended the allocation of products to Broadcast Groups A to G and all products are currently assigned to Group Z.
The grouping corresponding to the attachment to this Circular will be re-established on September
13, 2002.
Members who have not installed the Hotfix by that time, will then only be able to receive broadcasts for the products in Broadcast Group Z.
We would like to inform you that a full software update for Release 6.0 simulation is planned for
September 20, 2002. This software update will also resolve the problem described above.

The Hotfix is only to be installed on MISSs; workstations are not affected.
All FTP transfers from the report MISS to other MISSs in the simulation environment must
be binary copies.
Please forward this circular to your system administrator so that data files which are no longer required can be deleted before the software transfer (e.g. old software kits, Theoretical Price Files,
Reports etc.).
Please also ensure that your simulation environment is connected to the Eurex network on
Wednesday September 11, 2002 from 22:00 CET.

The new broadcast split functions cannot be used until the Hotfix to the Eurex Broadcast
server has been applied on all MISSs in the simulation environment. If the Hotfix has not
been installed on all Simulation MISSs by Friday, September 13, 2002 no broadcasts
will be received for any products assigned to Groups A to G.
Please contact the technical help-desk on +49 (0)69 2101-1200 if there are any problems during
installation of the Hotfix.
Installation Instructions
To resolve the problem described above in Eurex Release 6.0 simulation, please replace the file
“eurexbcsrv” with the version supplied on all MISSs in the simulation environment.
1. Before starting the installation, please make a security copy of the current version of
“eurexbcsrv” so that it can be restored in the event of unforeseen problems with the
replacement file.

2. To implement the fix for Sun or Windows 2000, please replace the following files with the
new version:
