Saturday afternoon saw us muster at the marina in Palma de Mallorca. The week’s trip would take us to the south west of the island via Portal Nous, Cala Fornells, then past Port Andratx and on up to the island of Cabrera. Cabrera, a protected natural area, was certainly the highlight of the week. The night sail to the island, a hike to the lighthouse, tombstoning from the cliffs and paddling in the blue caves rounded Cabrera off perfectly. On the afternoon of the fifth day, we took the direct line from Cabrera to that most beautiful sandy beach at Es Trenc, before overnighting at Sa Rapida harbour. The next day brought twenty knots of wind and a slight swell with it, perfect sailing conditions. Three hours of sailing brought us to the narrow gorge at Cala Pi. We dropped anchor and stayed until morning in this wonderful bay. Pretty much every morning started with either a SUP yoga or fitness session. The tranquility, the murmuring of the sea and the amazing natural backdrop made for an extraordinary atmosphere. These SUP exercises, as well as the excursions we made with the SUP boards, made this cruise a particularly special experience. Whilst other sailors might only go swimming as a diversion, our crew had the choice between cruising, water-polo, yoga or fitness on or with the SUP boards, which were always available on deck. And this choice was quickly appreciated by all on board. die wunderschöne SCHLUCHT von CALA PI 72 club-mistral.com club-mistral.com 73
