Margaret wurde in Kalpirti geboren, hat aber dieses Gebiet vor langer Zeit verlassen. Es ist der Ort ihres
Volkes und das Land ihrer Eltern. Sie gehört zu den Yulparija, deren Existenz durch die große Dürre in den
70er Jahren bedroht war.
Mit ihrer Familie reiste Margaret zu dem Küstenort Bidyadanga, wo sie jetzt lebt. Sie begann 2003 mit dem
Malen. Ihr Werk ist eine Kombination von traditionellen bildhaften Vorstellungen von der Great Sandy Desert
und den lebhaften Farben der Salzwasserlandschaft.
