11.1.2011 the GreenXchange held an in-person Collaboratory that included attendance by Brooks,
Nike, New Balance, Oregon based non-profits, the University of Oregon and University of Washington,
and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The focus of the meeting was on providing technical
assistance to footwear companies licensing the environmentally preferred rubber (EPR) patent
offered through the GreenXchange (www.greenxchange.cc). In addition, the group explored new areas
to act in concert for addressing critical sustainability issues in footwear.
