Séjour culturel et linguistique en Angleterre Lundi 7 avril au samedi 12 avril 2014 Petit reportage sur le voyage de 47 élèves de terminales et étudiants de STS du lycée Edouard-Vaillant de Vierzon, encadrés par 4 de leurs professeurs We boarded the ferry at Calais on Tuesday to go to Dover. LONDON Mardi 8 avril et Vendredi 11 avril 2014 - Découverte à pied de Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Witehall, Horse Guards, Piccadilly Circus et Buckingham Palace. Visite libre de Regent Street, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Soho, Marble Arch Découverte du quartier de la City, Gherkin, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge Visite du Shakespeare’s Globe, Borough Market et London Eye The bus dropped us off near Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament . This is Westminster Abbey, where Kate and William got married in April 2011. A horse guard Trafalgar Square is a very famous place. It is well known to be a social space for freedom of speech. Here’s Buckingham Palace. We didn’t see the Queen but we saw Prince Charles (in a car driving to the palace) London Eye BATH Mercredi 9 avril 2014 The Roman Baths Pulteney Bridge with its small shops The Royal Crescent OXFORD Jeudi 10 avril 2014 The entry of the Oxford University We visited Oxford City and its famous university. Oxford University is one of the oldest in Europe and the biggest in England with its 38 colleges. We particularly saw the college named Christ Church. It is known for the quality of studies and the high level of the students, it is also known for having inspired the cinema. Indeed, the stairs were used for a scene in Harry Potter’s films and the Hall also inspired the hall that we can see in Harry Potter’s films.
