Jeff is playing Baseball.

His father is cheering him (Jeff).
His mother and his brother are watching him.
His brother is eating a hot dog and his mother is filming.
-Is Jeff’s father filming?
-No, he isn’t filming
-No, he isn’t (short answer)
-Jeff’s friends are not (aren’t) watching him!
-What are they doing then?
The verb “be” is also an auxiliary:

1-Why do I use the Present continuous (Be+V-ing?)
Le présent en be+ V-ing sert à décrire des actions en cours et dont je suis témoin:
-parce que je les vois :
-My English teacher is writing the lesson on the board now.
-Look ! He is (he’s) reading !

-Listen ! They are (they're) playing the piano !
- parce que je sais qu'elles sont en train d'avoir lieu maintenant :
Now the pupils are not writing the lesson. They are listening to the teacher.
