Description
CHEMDUR QUARTZ FINISH is a two component epoxy coating 100% solids polymerization at room
temperature.
The product is designed as a durable protective coating for a variety of support surfaces subjected to severe
conditions of service: concrete, masonry, wood, plywood cons, signs of asbestos-cement or drywall, metals.
Provides a tough finish, resistant to many common chemicals products.

USES
New work or maintenance of concrete floor.
Factories, warehouses, garages, institutions, hospitals, recreation centers, balconies, laundry rooms, shower
rooms, locker rooms, food, etc..
RESTRICTIONS
New concrete must be left for at least three weeks.
The moisture in the concrete should not exceed 4.25% during application.
The coating is a vapor barrier should not be exposed to hydrostatic pressure. The slab on grade must have a
vapor barrier.
Lower temperatures extend curing.
For best results, the ambient temperature and the surface to be covered must be at least 15 º C during
application and curing period.
The food storage areas must have adequate ventilation and protection sufficient to prevent contamination (odor,
taste) by the volatiles of the coating during application and curing.
Continuous service temperature should not exceed 40 ° C. Intermittent temperatures up to 60 ° C can be
tolerated.

SEAL
When we want to ensure a more complete sealing is recommended prior to installing the subfloor sealing
elastomeric membrane CHEMDUR FLEX. (Eg mechanical rooms, computers, etc..).
SURFACE PREPARATION
CONCRETE
Must be free of any curing membrane or sealer. Laitance, oil, grease, rust, wax or other substances which may
interfere with proper adhesion must be removed.
The surface must be solid, dry, dust-free.
For soils: preparation by mechanical or chemical stripping.
Repairs: plugging holes or cavities in the epoxy mortar or mortar CHEMDUR PATCH reinforced polymer.
Small cracks should be sealed with CHEMDUR P 1500 or injected with CHEMDUR BIND F.
WOOD
Sand, dust and prime.

DIRECTIONS
Mixing
Pre-mix each component separately before testing in a clean container. Mix Parts A and B together for at least 3
min, either manually or using an electric mixer at low speed. Prepare only the amount that can be applied during
the pot life.
Application
Brush, roller hair short ("mohair") or spraying.
The interval between successive layers must not exceed 24 hours. Otherwise, you must lightly sand the
hardened layer to ensure good adhesion.
SECURITY
Keep away from open flame and sparks.

Protect eyes and skin.
Wear glasses and gloves resistant to chemicals
Do not breathe vapors.
Provide adequate ventilation.
Wash with soapy water, rinse with water.
