In the squeaky-clean 1950s, Tab Hunter was the
perfect pinup, a virile, handsome movie star and

nous entamons l’échange avec Taïwan. Le cinéma taïwanais sera à
l’honneur à travers une sélection de 8 films qui vous permettront de
découvrir cette cinématographie tout à fait fascinante.

Wolfgang Beltracchi, surnommé le ''prince des faussaires, est à
l’origine de l’une des plus grandes escroqueries du marché de l’art.
En spéculant sur la valeur d'oeuvres disparues de nombreux peintres renommés, ce faussaire très doué les remplaça par des
contrefaçons, qu’il peigna lui-même. Pendant quarante ans, Beltracchi mystifia les experts, les musées et collectionneurs avec un
plaisir non dissimulé, tout en menant la vie de château.
For nearly 40 years, Wolfgang Beltracchi fooled the international art
world and was responsible for the biggest art forgery scandal of the postwar era. An expert in art history, theory and painting techniques, he tracked down the gaps in the oeuvres of great artists – Max Ernst, Fernand
Léger, Heinrich Campendonk, André Derain and Max Pechstein among
others – and filled them with his own works. He and his wife Helene
would then introduce them to the art world as originals.

Scratch est un drame musical qui raconte l'histoire de Leslie, le fier
leader du groupe de rap Lights and Shadows. Rapidement, les
succès s'enchaînent pour le groupe et Leslie est enfin sur le point
d'atteindre la notoriété qu'il convoite tant. Alors qu'une équipe documentaire suit le groupe dans son quotidien, une altercation survient entre Leslie et son rival musical. Ce sera le point de rupture
qui permettra à Leslie de poser un regard nouveau sur la société.

Scratch is a musical drama that follows Leslie, a young Haitian immigrant
who, along with his parents and brother Frantz, arrives in Montreal during the ’90s. Frantz quickly got involved in gang-related crime while the
father diligently drove a taxi. Years later, Leslie is now the proud leader
of the hip hop act Lights and Shadows. He’s taken over his brother’s enterprise while Frantz is in jail, using the illicit gains to finance the recording of their first studio album. One night, following a concert and what
initially looks like a random altercation, Leslie falls into a deep coma,
during which occurs a flashback through time, detailing the roots of his
derailment.

Pour les amateurs de cyclisme, son nom est plus qu’évocateur, il est
un symbole. Débarqué de son Italie natale en 1964 pour participer à
une course, Giuseppe Marinoni à décidé d’adopter Montréal comme
son nouveau chez-soi, d’où il continue à laisser sa marque en temps
que coureur et fabriquant de vélo. Aujourd’hui, à l’age de 75 ans,
l’homme au « caractère de fer avec l’âme d’un ange » n’a rien perdu
de sa flamme en décidant de défier un record mondial de distance
parcourue en une heure pour son groupe d’âge.

Giuseppe Marinoni found his calling when he transitioned from champion
cyclist to master bike craftsman. But after years hunched over toxic fumes,
his passion almost killed him. Today, at age 75, Marinoni is back in top physical form, and decided to attempt the world hour record for his age group, all
on a bike he built with his own hands almost 40 years ago.
