Mounting Specific Instructions:
Your Kolpin Heated Seat cover contains an automotive heating element with a built in temperature sensor
to prevent overheating. The heater element slides into a sewn pocket in the seat cover.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that before installing the seat cover on your machine that you do the following
step! The element utilizes an adhesive tape covered with a waxy paper to maintain positioning in the
cover-The paper must be removed and the element glued to the seat cover before operation! If the heating
element is not laid out completely flat and bonded to maintain this position, overheating can occur!
Without the adhesive holding the element in place, the heater can bunch up or overlap, resulting in
damage. Under no circumstances should the seat be operated without performing this step! Also, extra
seats on top of the heating unit can pose the same threats as the heating unit bunching up, causing the seat
to overheat. Please use CAUTION if using a Seat Box on the rear of your machine.
Once the heating element is installed properly in the seat cover, install the seat cover over your seat and
secure with the velcro straps. Excess velcro can be trimmed as necessary. Plug in the automotive style
adaptor into your power source or hardwire direct to your battery if desired. Use the rocker switch to turn
the unit on and off, remembering to turn the switch off when not in use!
For maximum longevity, use care when washing your ATV with the seat cover on. While the heating
element is waterproof, repeated exposure to moisture can affect the life of the heated seat cover. Your
heated seat cover is designed to last through years of service and will make cold riding that much more
enjoyable.

Votre housse de siège chauffante Kolpin contient un élément chauffant auto, avec un capteur intégré pour
éviter une surchauffe. L’élément chauffant se glisse dans une poche cousue dans la housse.
Il est EXTRÊMEMENT IMPORTANT d’effectuer les opérations suivantes avant d’installer la housse!
L’élément est maintenu en position dans la housse avec un ruban adhésif recouvert d’un papier ciré. Ce
papier doit être complètement enlevé et l’élément collé dans la housse du siège avant son utilisation! Une
surchauffe peut survenir si l’élément n’est pas complètement plat et collé pour le garder en place! Sans
adhésif, l’élément peut se replier ou se froisser et être endommagé. La housse chauffante ne doit en aucun
cas être utilisée sans avoir rempli les conditions ci-dessus! De plus, des sièges additionnels placés sur la
housse chauffante peuvent provoquer les mêmes problèmes de surchauffe. Faites preuve de PRUDENCE
si vous utilisez une boîte-siège à l’arrière de votre véhicule.
Une fois l’élément chauffant installé correctement dans la housse, installez la housse sur le siège et
maintenez-la avec des sangles Velcro. L’excédent de Velcro peut être facilement coupé si nécessaire.
Branchez l’adaptateur style auto dans une prise de courant ou reliez-le directement à la batterie, selon le
cas. Utilisez l’interrupteur à bascule pour allumer ou éteindre le chauffage. N’oubliez pas de l’éteindre
après utilisation!
Pour obtenir une durée utile maximale, lavez votre VTT avec précaution si la housse n’est pas retirée. Bien
que l’élément chauffant soit résistant à l’eau, un excès d’humidité peut réduire la durée utile de la housse de
siège chauffante. Cette housse est conçue pour vous donner des années de service et pour rendre agréables
vos randonnées par grand froid.
