In der neuen Arbeit «UP» der beiden Choreografen József Trefeli und Mike Winter tanzen sechs
Männer eine Choreografie aus dynamischen Hebungen und kommen zu einem faszinierenden
Resultat aus getanzten Flugversuchen. «UP» ist ein grössenwahnsinniger Tanz zur effizienten
Höhengewinnung und sorgt für ein nonchalantes Spektakel. Dank einer einzigartigen Kombination
von Aktion und Reaktion, Rhythmus und Risiko und betonter Virtuosität und Originalität verspricht
der Abend ein erhebendes Erlebnis zu werden.
József Trefeli, ehemals Tänzer bei der Cie Alias, hat 2005 die Cie József Trefeli gegründet. Die
Compagnie tourt international und wird regelmässig an Tanzplattformen wie Zeitgenössische
Schweizer Tanztage 2015, Aerowaves 2013, Les Plateux oder PSO 2014 eingeladen. József Trefeli war
zuletzt im Herbst 2013 in der Kaserne Basel zu Gast und lotete in «Jinx 103» zusammen mit Gyula
Cserepes ihr ungarisches Erbe in einem zeitgenössischen Volkstanz aus.
Mike Winter hat eine atypische Tänzer- und Choreografenbiografie. Nachdem er zuerst eine
Karriere in der internationalen Finanzbranche durchlaufen hat, entdeckte er erst spät sein
verstecktes Talent und liess sich am Trinity Laban Center in London ausbilden. Danach tourte er
weltweit als professioneller Tänzer und Choreograf. In der Schweiz hat er schon mit TänzerInnen
und Choreografen wie Guilherme Botelho, Philippe Saire, József Trefeli, Omar Porras und Nicole
Seiler u.a. zusammengearbeitet. Unter dem Pseudonym «Mister Winter» war er mit Lloyd Newson,
Pina Bausch und Marina Abramovic aktiv.

Biografie József Trefeli (in Englisch)
József Trefeli is an award winning, internationally acclaimed performance artist. Accomplished in
contemporary and classical dance, musical theatre, singing, tap and traditional Hungarian dance;
József draws on his knowledge and talents to create innovative and pertinent contemporary dance
and theatre. József Trefeli is Australian born with Hungarian origins. He graduated from the
University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. József worked for three years in Australia
before joining the Alias Dance Company in 1996 in Geneva. In his eight years with Alias he created
roles that challenged and charmed critics and audiences worldwide. On 6 continents, 30 countries,
and over 100 cities, József has achieved critical acclaim for his many and varied dance performances
and numerous choreographic works. The diverse range of styles in which József choreographs
include contemporary dance, cabaret, theatre, special events, musical comedy, opera, music video
clips and film. He has proven his ability to create solo work as easily as directing and choreographing
casts of up to 25 dancers. József Trefeli has also danced for the companies Philippe Saire, Da Motus,
Utilité Publique, Greffe, Drift and Skree Wolf companies, and has acted in two plays with the
Company Korpüs Animüs. He founded the József Trefeli company in 2005 for a commission to
choreograph for the Association for Contemporary Dance (ADC) in Geneva. His creations have

At the same time, József Trefeli creats two choreographies for the 25 dancers of Geneva’s Ballet
Junior, entitled Safety In Numbers and Beach Ball & Body. He also choreographed OperAdôn
by Robert Clerc, Tous les chemins mènent à Meyrin directed by Valentine Sergo and two
creations of the Théâtre Spirale, Louves 2009, La Ronde 2010 and Remonter la pente 2011. In
2010, the Cap Loisirs Foundation celebrated the 30-year anniversary of its activity in Geneva with the
production Stop ! I need a change !, a project lead by József Trefeli as artistic advisor. In
September 2011 József worked beside the director Valentine Sergo on the theatre piece Tous les
chemins mènent à Meyrin as choreographer.
December 2011 József choreographs La Grande Duchess de Gérolstein Opera by Jacques
Offenbach, directed by Omar Porras, for the Opéra de Lausanne.

Biografie Mike W inter (in Französisch)
Né à Cardiff, au Pays de Galles, Mike Winter a un parcours atypique de chorégraphe et danseur.
Après avoir entamé une première carrière dans la finance internationale et l’information
technologique, il a pu bénéficier d’une bourse personnelle octroyée par la défunte Diana, princesse
de Galles (la Présidente du English National Ballet de 1989 à 1997) et a pu développer ainsi un talent
caché. Il a en effet obtenu une maîtrise au prestigieux conservatoire Trinity Laban à Londres.
Par la suite, il a connu une carrière prolifique en tant que danseur - interprète international,
chorégraphe et professeur. Seul, il a collaboré en Suisse avec Guilherme Botelho, Philippe Saire,
Jozsef Trefeli, Omar Porras, Nicole Seiler, Peter Regli, Antoine Jaccoud et Ursula Meier. Sous le
pseudonyme de Mister Winter, il a été notamment associé ces dernières années avec Lloyd Newson,
Pina Bausch, Marina Abramovic et Sean Kelly Gallery à New York. En 2013, Mister Winter va
annoncer le lancement de son très attendu The Belief Series, une ambitieuse trilogie originale de
danse, théâtre en collaboration avec l’Eglise catholique romaine / Cité du Vatican. Il tourne
actuellement en Europe avec la prima-ballerina israélienne Talia Paz dans le duo acclamé du défunt
Nigel Charnock, Haunted by the Future.
