DEVA - our city
The town of Deva – Hunedoara county residence – is located on the left bank of
River Mures at 187 m altitude, at the foot of the Apuseni Mountains and Poiana
Rusca Mountains.
The first evidence of Deva dates from 1269, many vestiges demonstrate that the
town dates from Neolithic period.
Energetic Technical College
“Dragomir Hurmuzescu”
“Dragomir Hurmuzescu” Energetical Tehnical College has a
tradition of over 40 years in preparing specialists in the electric
field and mechanics.
We have 1100 students registered and 89 teachers for
both elementary school and high school .
Fields of preparation for highs school students:
-Electric Plant Technician
-- Electrotechnician
-- CAD (Computer-aided design) Draughtsman Technician
-- Mechanical technician for maintenance and repairing
-- Repairing Technician – IT
-- Telematics Technician
-- Transportation Technician

professional qualification:
-Electrician for electrical and
energetical devices and equipment
-Car Mechanic
Our school also provides courses for the post high school
graduates (adults) - evening classes - such as:
-Driving Instructor Technician
- Clothes Designer
- Termoenergetical Foreman
- Electician Foreman for power stations and electrical
network
The college consists of 5 buildings , 10 laboratories, 46
classrooms, 2 gymnasiums , a library, 10 workshops and
boarding.
Students practise in our workshops and at
different economical agents.
