Apparu en 1895, le nom de Cheval Noir compte
parmi les plus anciens de Bordeaux. Acquise en 1937,
Cheval Noir est la première propriété de la famille
Mähler-Besse dont les domaines, choisis parmi les plus
beaux du Bordelais, s’étendent aujourd'hui en appellation Haut-Médoc, Saint-Emilion ou encore Saint-Estèphe.

La cuvée de prestige, Château Cheval Noir, toute
portée vers l’excellence, se présente comme le
symbole et l’emblème de cette philosophie. Ancrée
sur le terroir de St Emilion, cette propriété de 6
hectares a inauguré en 2008 un chai alliant technologie
de pointe et passion des vins.
Elaborés avec exigence et passion, les vins de Cheval
Noir offrent à tous les amateurs le choix conjugué du
plaisir, du charme et de l'élégance.
From legend to passion…
In the footsteps of a legend.
Saint-Émilion, in the mid-19th century, the shadow of a
black horse working in the vines… Prodigiously brave,
both powerful and elegant, the horse was known to
provide quality and success to each harvest. This is
how began the legend of the Grands Vins de Cheval
Noir, a pure and distinguished expression of exceptional soils.
Since 1895, the name of Cheval Noir is one of the
oldest of the region of Bordeaux. Purchased in 1937,
Cheval Noir is the first estate of the Mähler-Besse family
whose domains, among the most beautiful of the
Bordeaux region, currently span Haut-Médoc, SaintÉmilion and Saint-Estèphe appellations.
The top vintage, Château Cheval Noir, entirely turned
to excellence, is shown as the symbol of such philosophy.
Settled on the St-Émilion plateau, the 6-hectare estate
opened in 2008 a wine house combining the top
range technology to the passion of wines.
Made with passion and following high standards, the
wines of Cheval Noir provide all the amateurs the
association of pleasure, charm and elegance.

belle
sélection

Sauvignon. Macération à froid
et élevage sur lies lui confèrent
amplitude et gras en bouche.
Ce vin fruité aux notes
d’agrumes témoigne d’une très
belle longueur.

Sauvignon grapes. Cold
maceration, with the time
spent on the lees giving it a
rich mouth feel and a long
finish. Fruit driven, but
balanced by fresh citrus
notes.
