One year in France, one year in the UK
An applied course
Who is eligible ?
Students with a scientific or vocational Baccalaureat
Motivation and autonomy are essential factors (a high
level in English is not a recruiting factor)
A specific knowledge (50% in France; 50 % in the UK) :
• Maths and IT
• Expression and communication techniques
• English
• Economical environment of a company
• Scientific courses : biology, chemistry, statistics
• Animal production science
Professional skills developed during work placement on
British farms (5 weeks) and in para-agricultural industry in
France (8 weeks).
Tutorials throughout the two years.
Purposes and carreer prospects of the course
• Being taken on as a higher husbandry technician :
technical advisor, development researcher in technical
institute, sales representative for an agricultural
cooperative
• Running a farm enterprise
• Carrying on studies (specialization, engineer school,
university, foundation degree)
By means of their two-year course in both Lycée de Thère
and Brigwater College, students get a deep knowledge in
the Brtish way of farming and come out of the experience
fluent in English. They are likely to be taken on for a job or
to carry on their studies in any English-speaking country.
Students all come out of this course more autonomous and
open-minded, fitter to start in the world of work.

- A level 3 National Diploma awarded by the French
Ministery of Agriculture (BTS)
- A Certificate of Higher Education in Agricultural
Management awarded by Plymouth University
