valorisation des rôles sociaux
La valorisation des rôles sociaux (VRS) est une théorie de
grande importance au sein des services sociaux et des
associations de personnes handicapées. Pour les personnes à risque d’être dévalorisées, le fait d’occuper un rôle
social valorisant se veut une façon efficace d’assurer une
intégration sociale individuelle et une participation sociale
valorisante. Le thème de la conférence est au cœur même
de la VRS. Les conférenciers décriront comment façonner
des rôles sociaux valorisés pour des personnes vulnérables
de tout âge, à divers niveaux, tant individuel, familial, organisationnel et sociétaire, et selon diverses perspectives
(pratique, politique, recherche).

Social Role Valorization
Social role valorization (SRV) has been a very influential theory in social services and disability organizations. For persons at risk of being devalued, occupying valued social roles is an effective way of ensuring an individual personal social integration and
valued social participation. The theme of the conference goes to the very heart of SRV. Speakers will
describe how to craft social roles for vulnerable people of all ages, on a number of levels such as individual, family relations, organizational and societal, and
from several perspectives, including practice, policy
and research.
