McCloy The Chase National Bank 18 Pine Street New York, New York My dear Mr, McCloy: While in New York I have been happy to learn of your deep interest in the World Brotherhood organization. As European Chairman I am glad that you wish to join with me in strengthening this non-political, educational work for justice, amity, understanding and cooperation among free peoples* I can testify personally that in the short post-war span World Brotherhood has contributed generously to the kind of world you anc; I want to live in. It is enhancing the prospects for a United Europe. I am particularly gratified by the results of Arthur Comptonfs and Dr. Clinchy's work in Asia. A year ago when James N. Rosenberg entered his 80th year, Dr. Compton and I gave a citation to him as one of the World Brotherhood founders. This month our friend becomes a fullfledged octogenarian. He has today handed me a letter enclosing $5,000 for World Erotherhood and its extension throughout free countries. This co-worker merits our felicitations in some substantial way. Perhaps his birthday can be an occasion for telling his friends and ours how significant the World Brotherhood movement is. With my compliments, Sincerely yours, 37, Quai Wilson Geneva, Switzerland Telephone: 21260 Willard Johnson Pierre A.
