Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are glad to welcome you to the RHYTHM 2013, dedicated to Arrhythmias & Heart
Failure: New Insights & Technological Advances, for two days of interactive education in
English with conferences and video cases.
Friday May 31 will be dedicated to Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), offering a deep analysis of
AFib perpetuation mechanisms and new tools such as MRI or high density mapping. High
level conferences and video cases will accurately illustrate latest advances in ablation
strategies, and tools now available.
Saturday June 1 will start with the imaging session followed by conferences and
videos on technical devices’ innovations and new antithrombotic treatments. To conclude
this educational program, the free papers session will allow physicians to present
their work on Saturday afternoon.
Trans mediterranean cardiologists will benefit from a specific educational program
in French through a satellite session held on Saturday afternoon.
Paramedical education is also enlightened on Saturday with a French course
dedicated to update theoretical knowledge and daily practices.
Do not miss the chance to attend the official dinner on Friday evening. You are welcome
to register at the desk on Friday morning.
Once more, we are pleased to have you during two convivial days of fruitful teaching in
the beautiful congress center of Palais du Pharo in Marseille.

Cardiology features first reports on original clinical, preclinical and fundamental research as well as instructive ‘Novel Insights from Clinical Experience’ and topical comprehensive reviews in selected areas of cardiovascular
disease. Investigators from all over the world contribute to keep readers
regularly informed of current strategies in the prevention, recognition and
treatment of heart disease. Their articles not only describe but offer critical
appraisals of new developments in non-invasive and invasive diagnostic
methods and in pharmacologic, nutritional and mechanical/surgical therapies. Special sections in a variety of subspecialty areas reinforce the journal‘s
value as a complete record of recent progress for all cardiologists, internists,
cardiac surgeons, clinical physiologists, pharmacologists and professionals
in other areas of medicine interested in current activity in cardiovascular
diseases.
